NEVER LOST

The tears still come from time to time
Although the years have flown
At times I miss that baby mine
As though she' just gone home.

That night I stood in terror gripped
Not willing she should go
My dignity, my strength were stripped,
Because I love her so.

But then He came to me and said -
"She's done what I asked her to,
Let go of her, don't hold her here,
Because I love her to.

I sent her to you just on loan,
She had a work to do
Don't grieve - instead feel privileged
That I loaned her to you.

I loaned her to you 'cos I knew
How well she would be loved;
For I could see within your heart
When I saw you from above."

"But Lord, I love her, oh so dear,
Please, don't take her away,
Don't take her, please, I beg of You,
Lord, please let her stay.

I'd have her live and see her grow,
I'd have her stay a while,
For Father, if You take her now,
I'll no more see her smile!"

"I know the anguish of your heart,
For My Son, He died too.
He took your sins upon the cross,
He died for love of you.

So grieve not now, My daughter,
Be comforted instead -
Your little girl is safe with Me,
Just like My Word has said,

And like My Word has promised
You'll see her smile again,
Once more, in Heaven's glory,
Where there is no death nor pain."

Oooo so heart touching. God does know best, although it is hard for us to understand. I'm glad you were writing at that time and still do, because it is soo healing to put our feelings into words. I feel that is when we are closest to God. Bless your heart, love Betty
