YOU DON'T TREAT ME AS THOUGH I'M SPECIAL ANYMORE

Open your ears and listen--with your heart
Not your mind--like you once did
Close your eyes and absorb my presence
And my words, as you once did,
while the scent of my fragrance
 Mesmerized you. Provoked you.
Focus your eyes on me tonight
As well as your mind.  Let
Me know that I'm the most important
Thing to you.  Focus not on your
Goals or your futre, or you'll miss
Out on the splendid presence of me.
 Stop calculating the useless sciences
Of man and God in expectations of
 Eventual vanity.  Don't dwell
 On superficial reasons of universal
 And celestial happenings and events
 That aren't even visible.
Believe in me as you once did
Don't think of me as as insignificant woman
And don't treat me as one, the one who
Makes sure all you domestic needs are met.
Don't belittle me by taking away my opinion
Since I dropped my goals, my dreams
To share the rest of my life in a dream
 I believe in--you.
