When I was born, I was sick from the very first day
But my mother's prayers made made the problems go away
So every birthday, that story I was told
And in between I heard Jesus' story unfold
Now it is I, who tells the miracle of my birth
And testify how Christ walked the earth
It was my mother who put the truth in me
For all the world, to hear and see
Many times I face hard choices, now that I am grown
I know she still prays for me, when her voice calls to His thrown
With God and mama's prayers, I will never be alone
Sometimes it is hard, to be the man I should be
But now in my life, I have those who look up to me
And when I teach, or reach out to help another
I try to do it,.......... just like my mother.
