Do You believe in Miracles???

I wanted this to be the first discussion in this room because, when you hear the story, you too, will know that God truely planned this miracle!!!!!!!!,, And although I was only age 7, and can't remember all the details,,I know that God worked a miracle, when our baby sister Deborah Sue Bishop came into this world, Mother's 16th child. I remember when she was born...she was a primmy...born in the 6th month, on July 13, 1951, in Killeen, Texas. She weighted 1 1/2 lbs and was 10 inches long, and looked like a new born mouse (this is not a cutdown) because her skin was very light pink and it was thin, infact transparent - and fuzzy.  You could see the milk running down into her stomach..it was awesome!!  Although her face was the size of a silver dollar (I know this because Grandpa Gober balanced one on her tiny pink nose), she had features so perfect - the face of an angel, and still is I might add.  But because she was so tiny, she would have to stay in a incubator until she weighed 4 lbs.  Her dresses were made from Grandpa's hankies, one would make one dress, and one would make four dipers. She didn't have any finger nails or toe nails, but her ears were the size of  Mama's thumb nail. Her hand were half the size of grandpa's guitar pick - which was good - because her foot fit right on it. But, oh! those lungs..she would sure let us know when she was hungry,,(and does to this day ) and we all gethered around to watch her eat, because her mouth was so tiny, Mother would feed her milk with a medicine dropper, one drop at a time - so that she wouldn't get stringled - and we love to see her stick her tounge out for the next drop - you had to be fast though for it only the tip showed and you would miss seeing it.  Then the drop of milk would trinkle down real slow.
Now while all of this may seem normal for a baby this size it was entertaining to us kids, and we were sooo proud of her!!!!  But it wasn't all fun and games because, there would be times that we didn't think she would make it, and this part is better told by our sister Redda..I can say though that, looking back it all makes me trimble, to know the power of God!!!!! because I saw it with my own eyes!!!  To be continued......
Redda your up next.    Love your sis Betty

Ok, what I remember is, all of us looking at our new baby sister through the window of the incubator. We were not allowed to hold her. She was so small. Our Brother J.D nicknamed her ‘Tiny Sue?he adored her!                             I remember the baby would turn a deep ‘blue?color, mother would gently blow into her face and pray “Dear God don’t let my baby die?as she moved the tiny arms & pressed gently on the babies chest. us kids would pray with her as we watched her work with a lifeless body.

Mother crying out in anguished sobs calling out to God for help. Suddenly mothers ‘countenance?would change, a look of defiance would cross her face as she lifted the baby over her head (as though she were lifting her up to god)

With her voice in full volume she would command, “baby breath in the name of Jesus!?The baby would let out a little sob and start breathing again.

The event I just described happened day and night many times over. But it instilled a “faith in God?that each of us have today!! As we watched  Miracle after Miracle performed by a ‘Mothers prayers?-and a MIGHTY GOD!!!And I will confess for US all we spoiled her rotten!! Love you baby sis

Redda

Following is a message that was in my email today from my Cousin Juanelle.  I felt led to share it with everyone since it is a conformation to what  a "True Miracle" our baby sister is, and I felt this should be added to her story.  I still remember this as if it were today.  Thanks Cuzz for the reminder of God's grace and mercy.
