Hey Sis Betty

should I tell them of the time you put something (odd) on your head and followed Aunt Rose into the post-office

Yeah Sis Redda Tell Us! Tell Us!
She will never know...she's gone to eat supper hehe

O.K I’ll tell…hehe.

It was something like this?/FONT>

Our Aunt Rose (whom Betty is named for-thus ‘Betty Rose? Did not drive, so Betty would take her to run errands. We would do fun things with our Aunt Rose and pull pranks on her just to get her to laugh.

Aunt Rose asked Betty to take her to post office to buy a book of stamps, while she was in the post office Betty thought how funny it would be if she put this ‘odd thing?on her head and walked in to stand behind Aunt Rose?/FONT>

On second thought I best stop here…sorry to leave you dangling with a half told story on Betty, but she is my big sister and she just might drive all the way here to Texas to prove it, or she just might tell you the full story herself /or ban me for LifefromGranny’s

I Love you big Sistor'

 I'll never tellhehehe

Oh, alright..like Redda said, I always took Aunt Rose to pay her bills and do her shopping, and all the family enjoyed spending time with her when we could.
On this day, Aunt Rose had gotten her check, I took her Woolworth shopping (for some "personal's" she called it) first, then to the post office. While I was waiting in the car, I decided to look in her shopping bag (she always took her own bag, which had a straw handle on it) Anyway, I saw she had gotten several pear of  white "Step-ins", then it hit me, how funny it would be if I put a pear on my head and go inside the post office..so I did.
My hair was real long, so I pulled my hair around where you couldn't really tell what was on my head I walked up behind Aunt Rose (there were 2 ladies in front of her), stood there a few minutes, she was looking at her the bills she was about to mail and talking to herself, not noticing me.
So I said, "Sure been hot today"..not looking up, she said, "Yes it has Honey."hehehe
To get her attention, I said, "Do you come here often?"hehe Aunt Rose looked up , said, "My Neice brings me to.." then she realizes it is me and what I have on my head she says, "Betty Rose!!! you get back in that car! I'm gona kill you!!"hehehe
When she got back to the car, she was dying laughing and said, "I'll never be able to wear my new step-ins without thinking of what you did, I'll got you back for this! now take me to Alma's house" (our mother's house). Ofcourse when we got to Mother's, Aunt Rose told what I had done It wasn't funny anymore, Mother gave me Book and verse on how to act in public..all the time laughing to herself I sure love and miss that ole Gal!!
