Some of our most fun years with Aunt Rose were when Betty and I were teenagers. She loved us and we adored her. She left us with many fun memories.
One winter we actually had enough snow fall in Texas to build a ‘Big Snow Man?for Aunt Rose in her back yard. We put one of Aunt Rose’s hats and a one of her winter shawls on it.
She was so excited about it; she wanted to take a picture of us standing beside the snowman.
While she was busy loading her camera with film, Betty and I went into the bedroom and put on our bathing suites and then put our long coats back on. We waited until Aunt Rose had her eye on the camera, and just as she said, “say cheese?we threw off our coats - just as she snapped the picture. She laughed and scolded us, but she put that little picture in a frame where she kept it until she died. Through the years that followed she would look at it and laugh. She loved it!
We Love you Aunt Rose
