Hey Mama Ex, and all the rest of the Heretics, flapj here checking in for roll call winter '08. Still going to the clinic and working. Lee got her a little temporary job as extra help for the holidays. So things are a little better lately, but we're still digging out of a hole we got ourselves into. Still alive and always thankful and grateful to the GREAT ALL. Hope all is as smooth as it can be for all the Heretics for the holidays when emotions/depression runs higher than usual. Hi Moms Hi Ex I actually took my first step and went to a shelter for Thanksgiving dinner. It was so good. When they started to come by me afterwards I ran like the wind. No questions you know. Thought you would like to know that.... Love, spirit xox |

I'm here! Not using ANY drugs (except subs, and then only as prescribed), not drinking, and quitting smoking!!! Work is amazing, but there's LOTS of it - I work 50+ hours a week! It's good, though; I've gained my company national recognition through many of the projects I've created, planned and implemented. Great times! I'm dating a wonderful man who'll make a great father, and things are so far, so good. I'm crossing my fingers that we can take this to the next step! I really want kids, and don't want to be a single mom unless absolutely necessary. Life is very, very good! I never miss using - ever. In fact, I look at addicts and can't really relate ... which is too bad. Somewhere inside, I get it. I can't access that place anymore, though; it's closed for business. Thank God. Hi spirit IM so proud that you got up the nerve to go to a shelter for Thanksgiving.. Look at you girl, you tried and accomplished something new... I hope your able to go there for Christmas too. Hi Sugar, At the moment im not doing very good. I just got out of the hospital, i had emergency gallbladder surgery. I had complications, i had a stone stuck in the liver duct. I came home yesterday, so today ive been sleeping off and on all day.. Im still doing alot of addiction advocacy, and staying out of trouble, lol. Much Love Karen |

HI EVERYONE, ITS SO NICE TO SEE EVERYONE CHECKING IN. IM LURKING, BUT NOT POSTONG VERY OFTEN, THOUGH I SHOULD. LIFE IS SUCKY RIGHT NOW AND IM MAJOR DEPRESSED(BIG SURPRISE) MAYBE SOMETHING ABOUT THIS TIME OF YEAR. MY GOAL IS TO TURN MY LIFE AROUND....STARTING WITH A GOOD SOLID JOB...AND BOOST MY SELF ESTEEM OR CONFIDENCE. IT IS AT AN ALL TIME LOW. Hi, Karen - I'm sorry to hear that. Those particular complications sound very painful. I hope that you have the blessing of time to rest and recuperate. Is there anyone to take care of you while you recover? I hope so! Thank you for letting me know what has been going on in your life. I'm glad to hear that you are keeping up with addiction advocacy (lord knows we addicts need as many quality advocates we can get, which isn't many, and you are one heck of a high-quality advocate!) and staying out of trouble.
