Suzi, I have heard some people make some of those accusations before about immigrants. I know of people who come to this country, make all there money here and send it back home. Then when they retire they move out of here back to there own country. I know people who do this so its not just something I have heard. It makes me sick because they reep the benefits of this country but they dont keep there money here. I hope the BIG BUSH realizes how F**ked up he has made everything including the importing and exporting of immigrants. Love Karen |

Hi all,
I don't think that poem is true at all. I don't think that anyone here meant anything by posting it, but I find the poem to be offensive because it is hate literature, and it is very prejudiced and racist. It's kind of ironic that immigrants get blamed for problems in a country that is run by people who originally immigrated and stole the land from the first nations people. I'm in Canada, but I think that the sentiments in the poem and the ideaolgoy behind it are basically the same in Canada and the States. This kind of poem may seem innocent enough, but it's things like this that shift people's views towards dehumanizing other human beings. The problem with the economy isn't immigrants, it's a corrupt government. Sorry if I'm upsetting anyone, but that poem really pissed me off.

Curiousity, Your so right, If the government has us distracted and we are hating this person or that person they are taking the spotlife off of How they are fucking up this country. The older I get the more disallusioned I get about the whole BIG governement thing. They manipulate everything to keep us preoccupied with Nonsense and HATE. I wont go into the whole war thing but We are there because BUSH had a score to settle for his Big Daddy........... I SAY Flapjack should run for President,  Also where are all the disallusioned people??? If you want change you have to support change. I agree C..we have to be very careful about stuff like this..what was meant as harmless can be and often is..taken very, very seriously by the likes of the KKK & hard core supremacist groups et al. We can't blame the very people who built our countries for our problems today..that just doesn't make sense to me..never has and never will. Just because the countries they come from are different today should make 'no' difference. I have quite a few American friends who are very upset at the immigration set-up in the states today...and I think it's first reaction to blame the 'people.' Maybe because it's the first things they see at street level...like the troops in the trenches so to speak instead of the big guns who call the actual shots. We need to look to the very governments who in their rush to be the biggest & very best at everything have grossly underestimated and overlooked the fundemental backbone & sweat of how our great countries came to be. Both my parents were 1st generation immigrants.mom from Germany..dad from British Guyana. At the time..just after the 2nd world war..Canada was advertizing for new citizen's to come over...what a difference a 3 or 4 decades make. |

I dont think that poem is true at all. I got that in my email a while ago and it said to send it to 20 more people or something like that.
Of course I didn't do that. I posted it here instead to get some feedback from you guys.
I agree with Sha, we've got to be careful about stuff like this. Last night I watched this special on television all about the Skin Heads. Wow, very VERY strange group of people. VERY racist. They admire and even worship Hitler and HATE anybody if they are not white.
The program made me very angry. At first I just laughed at the Skin Heads and thought what a bunch of idiots, but then I was thinking it was more serious.
It just amazes me how differant people are. I mean, I love the differances in people, I could NEVER hate the differances. That is what makes our world. How can people HATE differances in people?

Greetings fellow Heretics. The poem is certainly loaded with double edged stereotypical racial images of ignorance, sloth, and thievery. Nevertheless it is going on(how deep the extent I do not know)and I am not encouraged by the way any and all in high places choose to make the facts appear as they do in the papers, television, and radio. Inflammatory, alarmist, racist, fearful, these adjectives come to mind when I think of mainstream media. It ties in well with outsourcing of employment and manufacturing plan to further indebt and destabilize this nations economy while simultaneously dumping alot of the middle class onto a downward sliding ramp toward a lower class and vacuuming up all that money into their corporate coffers and international financial operations which are set up to keep them all wealthy and everyone else poor. I recently talked to a friend back home in New Orleans, and my brother in Virginia and they both mentioned alot of Latinos working around the general region of where they live where as maybe it seems there are many more than were seen perhaps as little as one or two years ago. Also there are many Russian immigrants in New Orleans also working. I just signed and passed on a petition against legislation passed yesterday that would allow illegal aliens/non-citizens access to social security monies. It pisses me off. But what pisses me off even more is the fact that social security will not be around by the time I should have to collect. That's twenty six years from now. Who honestly believes that SSI, or a great many other things that we take for granted in this bloated and sick society will be there the same as we know today? I don't. The fucking power elite are getting ready to shake the world down again to the detriment of common folk everywhere to benefit themselves and apply another layer of cement to the hierarchical order to see that their places within it are sustained and made more powerful and deadly. They're gonna throw another world war party in our faces to get richer. These assholes are doing this to us and that pisses me off the most. All the rest is just rats in a cage bullshit to make us hate one another. The great Hegelian Dialectic, a powerful tool of statecraft used with ever increasing disdain and outright neglect of human rights. It's working very well don't you think? Why does it seem that we can't get it together and make some fundamental behavioral changes to put an abrupt and permanent change on the way things are run by the enemy. Some people somewhere are gonna get it together sooner or later to end this ridiculous situational horror show we call modern living. The latinos are not my enemy. I am not so easily deceived. The enemy is corporations, banks, the elite, and government. I just wish more poeple would see this and not view me or others in the same boat as targets of pent up frustrations and hostilities which are the products and results of the empty life we lead and the lies and misinformation put about by the powers that be. It's coming to a frightening ugly head real soon folks, just be ready for anything, probably from within as well as from without. O.K. this effects me directly in many, many ways. I don't hate anyone. I try not to lump people, culture, and such all into one mold, and I am not a poet so can't respond to the poem in a cute, flow. I have a mom. She is elderly. O.K. fine many have one. My dad was a police officer for 36 years. Mom stayed home until my youngest brother got out of eighth grade. I can tell you the day before paydays we went through coats, and down cushions to look for quarters so we could get something to eat. Or we could make a "bill" they called it at the corner store. Three kids in Catholic school equalled tuition, uniforms, books etc. People had pride and didn't go crying what my grandmom calls "Poor Mouth" or "Beggar on horseback". My mom went to a job where she stood ten hours a day after that. As soon as we could get working papers we all went to work too. Only ONE of us got to go to College. The bright, intelligent, join every group in school one just so when SAT's came and resume's and applications he had a better chance. MINORITIES? They got extra points. Same as with any type of work in the East Coast. Minority? You get immediate extra ten points on City Job tests. This means my middle class white brother with three kids of his own got flying colors on the Fire Fighter tests. Your EMT is not him. It's someone given extra points who fills the minority quota. It also makes people that work together sucpicious of eachother. It does not help with commaraderie one bit. Meanwhile college brother is the shinning star. Mommy's money from standing ten hours went on his books. He ate and this is not a lie tomatoe soup almost every night in his very prestigious school. He never complained. Back to the poem. My dad promptly drops dead after only being retired one year almost. One year not even. Served 36 years. It was Christmas day. That next day they cut that pension right in half on my mom. CUT IN HALF. Now with that she still has to pay the mortgage. Oh, right Ma'am I'm sorry you have no more health coverage. You'll have to pay for that yourself. You are not covered. Almost three hundred dollars now comes out of that half a pension. I go to get her medicine, and her health plan sucks. Ring, ching that'll be $240.00. Ohhhhhhhh, and Mr. SianLingKuanSingYung here you go ya got five scripts for your 85 year old dad just arrived last year to our fair country. SLAP that ACCESS card right here. No charge. Now if that don't piss somebody off what does. I'm sorry and it's not the immigrants fault, but my freaking parents and grandparents helped build this country and my Palastinian, Hmong, Vietnamesse, Jordanian, Albanina neighbors get all their food free. Put your small food purchase up on that supermarket belt, and watch some poor elderly, WWII vet dig through change, and see the lobster, and chocolate expensive ice cream an immigrant puts up there and here comes that ACCESS card. My neighborhood was middle class. We are now lower middle class and sinking real fast. Why? The MOFO Chinese who combed the neighborhood in their Lexus, and Mercedes all with NYC plates. Buy up all the properties, and RENT. Absentee landlords. They go back to NYC, and leave me to need to reinforce my home to protect my family from the riff raff that rent here. No lawn cutting, no snow shovel, twelve people in an apartment and cops constantly at the door. My kid has to walk past this crap. We sleep in shifts. These renters will come through your skylight, and rob you or worse. In case you have one put barbed wire up there. What's right about any of this? My child, and children of her age group will get no Social Security. Between cases of baby formula going out free, and all the fancy duds on these people why the hell would a kid EVER have an incentive to go to work? Why? So they'll pay for someone else to eat cake while they work their ass off? Elderly people from virtually every Goddamn country in the globe are here. They stay at home and one small child is delegate to stay out of school to help granny and gramps understand how to receive the UPS truck that brings new TV, son. Their parents are working somewhere and I am certain very hard, but illegally and why blame them. We're the stupid A-Holes. My greatgrands were immigrants. NOBODY handed them anything. They learned English and taught their children that English was to be spoken outside. Only German indoors to keep your heritage and culture. They worked their asses off. They made this country or helped anyway. For what? For some lousy, piece of crap, bitch a block up from me who has eight kids. EIGHT. Middle East decent they are. EIGHT friggging kids, and she has a vehicle? I have no frigging car. EIGHT kids, and she parks in the handicap spot. Your testimony proves to me beyond doubt that this country is being sytematically destabilized by the international banking cartels that decide world happenings and futures. For the "New World Order" to be able to work more effeciently, the lifestyle of the American must be greatly reduced. It is just too much for their program. They haven't gotten/stolen enough money, land, or power yet, can you believe it? Even the poor here have it reasonably good in comparison to other countries and the playing field is being leveled now, hence the outsourcing and influx of immigrants. It is not encouraging to realize that generations of our lives have amounted to nothing more than financial charts and demographic plans for the power elite to further enrich themselves and enslave us. As pissed off as we are, they are equally afraid that the people will wake up and destroy everything that keeps them were they are,(remember the Bastille)namely that we keep on borrowing money the Feds don't have to buy shit we can't afford, or even really need. Wage slaves is all we are and all that shit about working hard all your life and saving money is just a lie to keep us toiling for them, to busy to notice or care about what our leaders are really doing behind closed doors. They do not have our interests in mind, they never did. I am thirty nine and have no insurance of any kind, nor a house or car. I do not want it either. I refuse to get into debt in a crumbling economic system. Even if the economy was in a good state of affairs I would still not live beyond my means on credit. Credit is how they keep us enslaved, not to mention the continual barrage of bullshit in the papers and television telling us what to like and think and buy. It is all bullshit. Uh-Oh! A political and a race discussion all at once. Dare I Speak? I am origionally from the deep south and hyper sensitive to being labled a racist/conservative/republican. I should just go ahead and STFU. I am definately not a republican, and really not a dem. Bushie isn't good at speaking and just can't seem to got a point worth a shit across that apeals to the working class. (was pleasently suprised though at his speach at the NAACP conf. yesterday) But as much shit as there is to lay on him and his party the other side has plenty of blood on their hands too. LBJ was a dem. Failed social welfare programs, corecting past atrocities by legalising descrimination against people three and four generations later with quotas, The Clinton admin's healthcare reforms. ($350/mo for me and a spouse with my employer paying a chunk for health insurance, before I even get sick, then there is the copays, deductibles,etc) What a crock. I would rather vote for some one who had to hustle to get by, to make a buck. A congressman cries about his office being raided after he is caught red handed receiving bribes. Calls it racist? Please. That card has been so over played that people actually start to believe it when they shouldn't and ignore it when it needs to be noticed. Don't get me wrong. We all bleed red, we all want a better life, but for some one to get rich by stirring up trouble is disguesting. Our City Council here is aweful. Five members serving federal time in the last ten years. All seperate incidents. All will come home to better jobs than a person who was convicted of having an oz of weed. It's a crazy situation. But in the end, I have traveled all over the world and as fucked up as this may be I don't think there is another country I would rather live in. I guess the music here is just that much better . Gettininthere - that is one frightening post. I don't even know how to respond, except to say that I think you are making mistakes with the connections you are drawing. I think that what you have written the same as the poem above - it is racist. Racism which seems to stem from fear - your fear is valid, but blaming it on immigrants is not. There is no excuse for slurs, for example "Mr. SianLingKuanSingYung." The problem is the system, and the government for allowing people to live in poverty, but is a huge error and an oversimplification to blame this on immigrants.

| Just a very minor point here about the skinheads. Like any other "group" there are factions. The one most easily identified with skins is the extreme racist ones. There are others, however, that may identify with anarchy but not with racism. |
