I am going to be working the Inventory Control Team on 4 pm to 1 am.
Is there a CBL?
Or a video?
Anything found on the Wire?
Or some kind of written instructions on how to do the bins showing us step by step?

Or is the typical Walmart Training (the blind leading the blind)? This is a new program that only started 2 weeks ago at our store.
Thanks for you help

That's what I thought, but didn't hurt to ask.
Thanks

In the store where I work, my experience is that you get tossed into the deep end of the pool, and get told that you either need to learn how to swim or tread water.

Sarcasm aside, it seems that the department managers who understand the process - including the ICS Team Leader - are doing on the job training with those that work the bins.  Being in a smaller Division 1 store, we don't have the same level of people that other stores do in our market so our situation is different.  However, you do raise a good point regarding the lack of formal training on many essential job functions.

I wish you the best in your new job.

I would keep my eyes/ears open, and seek out folks who seem to know what they're doing.  Then, ask them for help, ask their opinion, see if they can suggest an easier way to do whatever it is you're doing.  I'm lucky to have a number of really good resources at my store, and I have learned a lot from them.  And, I learn a lot from other folks who just happen to have a different perspective than I do.  Experience isn't everything; so keep an open mind.
Best of luck!

Familiarize yourself with your area of the store. If you have to break down truck for 3rd shift, try to put freight on correct cart. As a 3rd shift associate, it is a pet peeve of mine to come in and "resort" carts. I realize the new associate training sucks. Its best to try some initiative and try to get comfortable with what goes where. It'll take a little time but well worth it. Best of luck.
