While I cannot attest to having my limit decreased at all, I can give my opinion on their service...

I have had more problems with this Walmart card than any other card I've had. I opened it in 2006 when I bought my tires - no interest on purchases over $250, so I figured what a great deal since they were $113 a piece. A few months later I moved, updated my address with the company, and tried to buy groceries at my new store - a purchase of about $200. I had a balance of $300 I think it was - all payments current. I was denied at the register.

I called the company, and because I had moved, they put a security hold on my card so I would call and verify that I initiated the address change online in my secure account. Okay, whatever, but couldn't someone have called me or left me a message to call them? I had no idea.

Forward to this year. I paid off my balance - I racked up around $1300 on there with a few purchases and paid the whole thing off - one payment. I go to purchase a PS3, guitar hero, and a few games for my hubby with the no interest deal, and I am denied. I had a $0 balance on the card. I call the company, and they put a security hold on my card for paying it off and wanted to make sure that it was me that made the payment. What would it have mattered? Who else WANTS to pay a credit card? So, okay.....

This past summer I moved, updated my address again. I had been trying to make my payment online and my account wouldn't let me log in. It kept saying the site was down. So I called the company, and they apologized for the inconvenience, and offered to allow me to make my payment over the phone with no fee. Cool. I made my payment. 2 weeks later I STILL couldn't get into the website to view my bill and balance. I call again, and find out they put a hold on my account once again because I had moved, but this time it locked me out of the website as well. I signed over my first 5 unborn children to unlock the account. I log in and find that they charged me the $10 phone fee.

The next day I paid off my balance and will not use the card unless it is an emergency or real need. I am very unhappy with GE Money Services or whatever company it is. I am in understanding that there are security precautions in place to protect me as a consumer, but at no time did I receive any emails, letters, or phone calls about any of the security holds. I understand that an email may seem like a phishing scam, but I have a phone, and they can send mail.
