So, it's a weird kinda day. The Catholic schools have a PD day so I have Vienna here all day. My friend who does daycare, didn't realize it was a PD Day either (cause parents don't like to tell us these things, I guess) and didn't take today off, thinking the kids would all be in school today and her husband is at home, recovering from surgery. So, I'm taking on 2 boys that I'll pick up at Ave. Rd school at 9 and have them til 1.

Emily will likely be staying at home. She's got a bad sore throat and is just not feeling swell. I made her go to school yesterday, though she said she woke up with a migraine. This morning, she already has had a bath but is cuddling in bed with Andrew.

Delaney has school today though.

Oh yeah, our friends are coming tomorrow for the afternoon/night to hang out and play games, etc. My house smells... I did determine some potatoes were bad but there's still weird smells. augh My house is dirty and messy and I'm behind on dishes yet again. My fridge badly needs to be cleaned out. AHHH

Oh yeah, I'm tired and having stomach issues as usual. So, here's hoping I can keep the kids busy, get my house cleaned up, not puke and manage to get through the day.

Going to start a list.

poor Emily - it sounds like maybe strep throat?  it always starts with a bad headache for my kids followed by a sore throat.  if you don't take her to the doctor for a test, watch for a rash on her torso.  if she gets that then it is definitely strep and she could have hearing damage w/o antibiotics.

today is dark and rainy here. a perfect day for back to bed so luckily i'm due at the school at 9:30 until 12.  otherwise i'd probably go back to bed!  this will force me to shower.  scott will be home early for a dr apptmt - his head has been congested for 2 weeks so probably a sinus infection.

welcome back serene!  ouch on the roof!  you must not have seen the post where i quick mcd's on the 2nd of september.  i haven't figured out what to do right now.  i need to go thru with the bus driver thing but am just scared.  for now i'm going to concentrate on cleaning house and having a nice holiday season i guess.

Yikes, I'll definitely keep an eye out for that. She's complaining of her elbow hurting and it looks kinda red. Her throat seems to be getting better though. I find with strep throat, it doesn't feel better as the day goes on so it makes me think it's just a typical sore throat with a cold.

So, I've got a full house here... 4 kids and Timmy. We may have to go to the store for pepperoni. Yippee! I still have to check the freezer though and am keeping my fingers crossed that I have some pepperoni in there.

it's getting overcast here too but no rain. Have fun at the school!!

I gotta get Em some breakfast and deal with the dishes. I started them before I left for the school.

yeah you're right -the throat normally stays sore.  hopefully it's just a cold!  it was just the headache that made me think about strep - probably because i always miss it and the dr says "did he have a headache?" and i'm like, oh yeah.  lol.  i've also missed rashes on them twice - once with erik when he was little and once with braeden.  the doctor lifts the shirt and i feel like "duh"

good luck taking all those kids to the store - hope you have pepperoni.

leaving for the school now!

i do not know what to do with my sorry little self

the teacher had about 30 minutes' worth of work for me to do.  actually 20 but i stretched it out because her class was getting pics taken so i was trying to keep busy while she was gone.  then she came back and said "thank you."  and i said did you still want me to stay 'til 11:30 or 12?  and she was like, no i don't have anything else for you to do.  man!  not that i wanted to stay forever but going in to do 20 minutes' worth of work was silly.  all i did was cut out this square of instructions and paste them into the front of about 30 notebooks.  i wandered down the hall to see chane and then left a little after 10.  at least it got me showered and dressed and moving around!

i didn't want to come home to my gloomy house (that's actually straight but not clean) so i went shopping.  went and looked at headboards which i have no intention of getting any time soon but actually the ones i like at mattress warehouse were only $350 for a kingsize so i was surprised.  i expected them to be more.  wandered thru the dollar store and bought nothing then pier 1 where i found a spray i want for christmas but bought nothing.  then to bonton to pick up the rest of the booklets scouts are selling for our fundraiser.  then to wendy's of course - my drug since i was feeling lonely (I was singing "looonneely - i'm so lonely!" at the top of my lungs in the car LOL).

i just finished eating.  i'm bored and lonely and out of sorts.  i have plenty to do here but nothing super pressing since the house is mostly straight.  erik's room needs to be cleared out, i have two hampers full of laundry, the house is pretty dirty, i could put away dishes from the dish drainer, my gift closet needs cleaned out, both the kids' rooms need seriously help etc etc etc but there isn't junk 2 ft deep in every room so i don't feel like i need to rush rush rush and clean up.  everything i can do seems BORING.
