Hiring a new housekeeper named Miranda.  She'll be here 9-4 Mon-Thu.  She has a list of stuff she's supposed to do while here.  The house will be ready for her each day at 9.

LOL

Do you like my new name and title?

Back with "her" list for tomorrow...

Dear Miranda,

Here's your list for today.  There's ham for lunch.  The XM number should be on the island, the bus company # is on the machine.  Look up a recipe for dinner - there's cooked chicken in the fridge and macaroni and cheese in the pantry.  I saw a recipe on allrecipes.com for combining the two.  You may need cheddar cheese - if so, you can pick some up at the store.  My ATM card is in my wallet.  If you drink all the soda, can you please put another one in the freezer before I get home?

Have a good first day

Your employer,
Psycho Joni
  • 27-pickup in garage
  • Vac whole house
  • Dust living room
  • Phone calls:  XM, neurologist, bus company, Walmart and Aldi re: chicken
  • Macaroni and chicken for dinner
  • Paperwork:  Copy remaining lists from website, fill out insurance paperwork, fill out lawyer paperwork, get cards ready to mail
  • Laundry - fold what's in dryer, wash one more load all the way through, hang the kids' shirts
  • Keep house neat, rescue any rooms that need to be picked up
  • Pick the kids up at 2:45, snack will be mandarin oranges, get them started on homework and remember to sign Chane's agenda, ask Braeden if he has tests or anything to sign

lol, you're hilarious!!! Can I just point out that you signed it physco Joni and it's kinda funny that one of "Miranda's" phone calls is to a neurologist?

I love your idea. I wonder how I could do something like that but factor in the daycare. Though, at this point, just trying to survive the day is my main goal with being sick, yet again, trying to still organize the house from moving and being pregnant.

This week is going to be a busy one. Lots of pregnancy related stuff (pee in a cup, blood work and then the next day go in for my over-due rhogham shot, ultrasound, midwife appt) and then every night we've got something (gymnastics and swimming tomorrow, cake class for me on Tues, dh has v-ball on Wed and Friday nights and Em has soccer Thurs.) So yeah, I need to get better, I NEED to stay on top of things... it's so hard when my main floor is such a disaster zone right now :(  The laundry situation is slowly getting underhand though.

I'm going to finish up a nighty-night tea and head off to bed. My eyes are killing me and I'm just wiped.

You could just pretend to not be the mom who lives there during daycare hours but your daycare hours are funky and varies so that would be hard.

Miranda already called in sick.  I can't believe it - on her first day.  Something about cramps - grrr.  I had cramps too so I didn't even get the house ready for her this morning anyway.

Ahh, well, at least I made the phone calls - not the Walmart and Aldi ones but all the others.  I'm going to still make the macaroni chicken thing and try to get going on the paperwork and rescuing the house.  Oh and I did fold what was in the dryer this AM (only because Braeden had something that needed to dry so I was forced to) but I have another load to go in.

Also have to plan my den meeting which will be easy but I need craft supplies and don't feel like going out.  I'll have to either do it with the kids or when Scott gets home.  I always feel guilty dragging the kids out in the limited hours they have after school especially on Monday when they'll already be leaving here at 6 for Scouts.

BTW I think I'm just going to move us to Aimoo and take the risk that my lists will still be there.  Are you ready for the move?  Let me know and I'll go ahead and move us over.

Yup, I'm ready for the move! I dont' have any lists like you so I didn't have anything but the recipes to copy.

Called in sick on her first day?! Sheesh! lol Ah, cramps always mess me up :( I can't remember what they feel like but I know that make me feel like poop.

Hope the rest of your day/night goes well.

I've got a butt-load of stuff to still do. I think this is our busiest night so at least getting this one out of the way is nice. My house is dirty though. The main floor floors, minus the kitchen, are in desperate need of a sweeping and mopping. It's my least favourite thing to do cause it seems like they can't stay clean for more than 5 seconds :( Augh.

Ok, going to finish making hamburger patties and then when Maddie leaves, I'll start cooking supper. We're switching it up tonight so I'm going to take Delaney to gymnastics and read my cake book while she's there (you can never see them, it's frustrating) and if I have time, slip out to get the rest of the stuff I need for the icing. She's there 6-7:30. Andrew's taking Timmy and Em, first to get Em some hockey skates and then to her swimming, 7-7:30. He has tomorrow off so that'll be nice though he won't really be home. He's helping with skating at Em's school and we have to figure out the times for that. Then he may try to do errands and then I need him to watch Timmy 2:30-3ish while I have my ultrasound. Hopefully he can take care of a bunch of stuff. Maybe I'll make a list of things I can think of that are important to me for him to do and combined with his list, we can come up with a good list.

Ok, off I go! I changed my underwear and feel SO much better. lol These XL ones I got from Wal-mart are SO not XL and were pinching me, big time. Maybe I should buy maternity underwear?! Or, just go comando. hehe

OMG commando while pregnant!!!  My belly would have been on the floor LOL.  I loved my maternity underwear for the support but then by the very end they were too constricting and I started tucking them under my belly.

That's good Andrew is doing all that and taking Timmy tonight.  Not that daddies shouldn't do that stuff but when I hear of the ones that refuse to it makes me glad for my husband.

Sounds like a busy night and busy week.  Good luck on your ultrasound today - you should be there now if I read it right.

Did you end up going to your first cake class?  I'm thinking I should take some digital scrapbooking classes online.  I took one once but didn't finish because I got caught up and plus C was only 2 so my time limitations were different.  I think I've forgotten everything I used to be able to do in Photoshop.  We can be creative together! :-)

I'm unmotivated again today -taking tons of ibuprofen.  Tired, down and unmotivated.  Not down for a reason.  I just need outside structure.  I'm siging Chane up for gymastics this week to start March 2nd.  It will cost $40 to register him and then about $55 a month for his class and a Y membership just for him and take up our Tuesday nights but B will be in Boy Scouts now on Tuesdays (he crosses over on the 21st and moves from our Monday night Pack to the Tuesday night Troop).  I don't look forward to Mon, Tue, and Wed all having something going on but maybe I need it for motivation.  And I know Chane needs a sport.

Time to get the kids in a few minutes.

lol, my belly has always been pretty firm for some reason. It's afterwards that I've got major saggage. Actually, my butt needs the lift more than my belly!!

The ultrasound went well! I was afraid of being late to get the kids from school (though Andrew had the day off so he was ready to go just in case I couldn't) but the technician was efficient and fast. It sounds like she found everything that the other technician couldn't find so my baby has a face! woo! The profile looks so much like Timmy... the lips and nose, it's crazy! Most definitely one of my babies!

I didn't go to the first class :( I'm ticked that I missed it but I'm so glad I went tonight, even though I was stressed while getting ready for it. As soon as I was there, I realized that I had nothing to be stressed about. I have 2 more for this course so next week should be much better as I knwo what to expect now in terms of what to have ready, etc. It's pretty fun and I'm glad I signed up!

That'll be a busy week but yes, I find having stuff to scheduled outside of the house makes things go a little smoother at home. Sure, my house is trashed but it would be worse if we were home every night. It tends to keep me more organized if I have a bunch of places to be. But, I'm thankful that tomorrow is Wed. as the rest of the week should go smoother! Actually, tomorrow is still iffy. Gotta phone the hospital lab and get there to get my rhogham shot. I'm hoping to do that before my midwife appt that's at 12 but Delaney has swimming 10:30-11 so that is right in the middle. I'm dropping her off at an old daycare child's house for the afternoon (and lunch) so she'll have a blast playing and it'll be a quieter afternoon for me after having a busy day today.

I'm finally taking care of procrastination items... doing the pee test and the rhogham shot. I don't know why I put those off. Plus, I got my extinguisher checked, finally. The original place finally called and came out today! yay! Now, the rest of my house is trashed but hey, I'm getting stuff done that's been weighing heavily on me.

I think I may ignore my house yet again. I'm giong to have a light snack (HAS to be healthy... I was thinking water, strawberries and yogurt), watch a bit of t.v and see how I'm feeling after that. Dh is at a meeting so I may stay up until he gets home cause it shouldn't be too late (10:30 at the latest?) I'm feeling a tad tired (too tired to clean of course) but I need some downtime, big time.

Going to throw a load in the washer cause that's quick and then head upstairs. I'll likely be around tomorrow afternoon, trying to catch up. I gotta get working on V-day treats for the girls' classes. I haven't decided if I'll do cookies or cupcakes. Plus, gotta figure out if I'm going to have the daycare kids decorate something for Friday afterschool snack and when we'll do a V-day craft... probably Thurs. I have the cake I decorated today but I dont' think I'll feed that to the kids for snack if we're going to do a V-day snack.
