Why do I always get on a roll within the last hour before I have to leave?! augh

 

Not having as productive of a day in the kitchen as I wanted to. I have the gingerbread dough chilling but think I may have to do it tomorrow, providing it's not a snow day. Are you guys supposed to get a big storm? They're calling it snow-mageddon here. lol We'll likely get 2 cms as opposed to the 15-20 they are calling for. We never get hit hard. Even if we did, it's nto that big of a deal except I may have Gavin and Laura here all day! WAAA Plus, that'll mess up their Christmas parties at school :(

 

The shortbread is on hold.. gotta find my sifter. haven't dealt with the fudge either. (I hope you'll like it!)

 

I made a HUGE list of things to do before Sunday. Dh came home for lunch and read over it as well.

 

I have about 20 mins before I have to leave. I'm going to paint one spot on the stairs. Right now, the triangular sides of the stairs (hard to explain) are painted burgandy. I like the colour though may have gone for a more reddy burgandy but it's so scratched and painted sloppily (like everything in this house.) I think the dark green that's in our room would look awesome there. So, I'm going to try one triangular area and see how it goes. I'm really itching to get it done and though it's stupid to get out the can and brush for just that right now, I don't care. lol

 

Off I go. I likely won't be back til after school and then I'm hoping to work hard on supper, etc. We're going to have maple chicken (gotta find the recipe), twice baked potatoes (and maybe potato chip fries for the girls who don't like the potatoes) and creamed spinach (which I'm SURE will go over great with the family! lol I'll make another veggie that they'll like.)

 

Not sure I'll be on much at all tonight as dh is home though he'll likely take Em to soccer so I'll have 1.5 hrs where he won't hog the computer. We'll see... if not, good luck tonight! I'll be here tomorrow, hopefully with the kids at school or, just my kids and I'll HAVE to work my butt off. augh I hate procrastinating!
