I need a soda!  But I didn't feel like smelling like smoke so I didn't go to Rutter's.

You always make real stuff for dinner.  I'm craving domino's again but we just had it Tuesday.  Domino's and an iced cold diet pepsi.  We could get away with it if I did it - Scott wouldn't get mad.  He's not getting home 'til after the kids are in bed - he wants to stay late and get a bunch of stuff done.  We've cuddled 8 times already this month so I'm sure he's mellow enough to just say "oh you got pizza again?  that's nice." lol.  But then again, if I have pizza I may zonk out.  And not sure where I'd get the ice cold diet pepsi!  I'd have to go out - Domino's only has diet coke (blech).

You are like me with painting the step.  Only I'd wait another few months after doing it to decide then it would take me 3 years to finish it (after I decided to do other green accents in the area and recarpet the steps yada yada yada).  Or I'd do it half-a**ed and have to redo it like with the banister.  Either I'm quick and sloppy or I do a somewhat better job stretched over years!  I have to force myself not to do things like painting one step nowadays because there are too many things like that started around here (altho I feel WAY better now with our new baseboards and other finished things - even with the touchups not done, I feel so relaxed when I look around and see things that don't stand out like the old ones.  Did I ever post a picture?).

I hope you get your big list done.  Scott asked me to email him my schedule.  I asked him for help last night.  I asked that he help wrap, keep the kitchen and dining room clean every day plus the living room if it gets messed up, run some errands including returning some things, and go thru the camping stuff we got for Braeden to make sure all is there because he wants to set up a camping scene to make it a better gift (we are not sure how Braeden will react to having his own hiking tent, backpack and special sleeping bag since he already sleeps in a tent with Scott, is used to having Scott carry stuff, and already has a sleeping bag but now that he will be in Boy Scouts he needs lightweight stuff he can carry himself on hikes since he'll be hiking and camping once a month at least and Scott can't help him anymore).  We are not sure if it will be a bomb gift or not.  Hopefully setting it up cool will help.  He's getting other good stuff though but he's so easy to disappoint - usually he's more disappointed over things not going a certain way than what he gets but if he thinks his big gift is something he didn't want he'll be sad.  Truthfully, it's kind of an extra gift though - we spent so much on him because of his many unique interests that even without the hiking stuff he's probably even with the other two although I'm not really sure what I spent.  I kept track a little so Meemaw could pay back but haven't added everything up!

No we are not supposed to get a storm.  Thank goodness.  Although I do see the extended forecast has a "wintry mix" this weekend and Christmas Eve.  So my fingers are crossed - I am nervous nobody will come to my "party" if the weather is bad.  That will make me really sad!  It's just my MIL and sister's family so that's only two cancellations and it won't be a party anymore.  Ahh well I won't worry 'til it happens - normally it's not even a thought to get snow or anything else this time of year.  White Christmasses are rare here.  We do get huge snowstorms with a lot of accumulation some years but not usually 'til January or February.

I wish I could watch you bake.  Maybe you can film yourself for me.  I really don't get how you can bake stuff so quickly and without it being a big deal.  If I bake, then that's my accomplishment for the day!  You must have a lot of tricks and work smarter, not harder while I work stupid!
