Taking a break as the cold is catching up with me and my back is sore. But, I'm starving... hmm

What? Me cook real dinners?! The last week we've had: Friday- I believe it was eating out, if not, something like leftover spaghetti or kraft dinner. Sat and Sun- we were at my parents, Monday-grilled cheese (and then ice cream at Costco), Tuesday-hamburger soup and herb bread (the bread was deelish), Wed-frozen pizza, Thurs-chicken and potatoes, if I get that far, potatoes are almost ready.

I cook a real meal maybe once or twice a week. It's sad. I keep on seeing this coupon for A&W and I'd leave what I was making to go grab that. augh

I decided to skip the painting as I couldn't find my little paint brush or the opener (same place, I'm sure) and I knew I should clear off the table and do a few more things before leaving. If I painted, I would have been REALLY rushed.

I hope that hiking/camping stuff turns out well! I'd be blown away if I got something like that at his age. But, I also asked for a popcorn popper around that age too. lol

I always thought you guys did get quite a bit of snow, somewhat similar to us. I'll keep you updated on our weather. lol They're making SUCH a big deal out of it as we got about 5 cms 2 nights ago, then this dumping tonight/tomorrow and then another one Sunday. We'll see though.

lol, my kitchen ends up a disaster after baking and it usually stays that way for a few days. I most definitely don't feel like I've accomplished much if I bake. Now, if I keep up with the dishes and bake, then I feel like I've done well! I usually leave frosting out over night or lately, I'll cook up a pan of something and still have some leftover in the bowl but dont' have the time to deal with it so it sits out overnight and I waste so much. I have a bad habit of leaving parishables out and waste so much.

Ok, I'm blabbing too much. I managed to wrap the kids' gifts and do cards so the only thing left to do with the daycare kids and do the gingerbread cookies. We'll cut them out in the morning and then decorate after school (if we get that far.) I should do a card for 2 other sorta daycare families though.

I've checked the potato recipe... I can't wait to eat them! mmm Gotta find the chicken recipe and get that going. Oh yeah, the spinach one too. I have a feeling I'll hate it but ah well.

Oh, just checked the weather. Looks like we won't get snow til 5am Friday. Soo, I don't think we'll ahve a snow day. But, picking the kids up from school will be awful! Thankfully, I can drive and while I don't like driving in bad weather, it's not THAT far and would likely be easier to deal with than walking with the stroller.
