We can take Andrew's car but it will be VERY squishy. We usually get spoiled so I have no clue where we'd put presents along with our overnight stuff. But, the seats fit in the back so it's a real possibility. Plus, it's diesel and better on the roads. So, with the weather we got last night (A WHOLE bunch of snow and now it's supposed to be freezing rain, then rain then a little bit of flurries over night... where we're headed is likely to just get tons and tons of snow), the car is likely the safer choice anyways.
Andrew may take the van in today but not sure that's going to work...
Ah, that's so sweet of Braeden and his mood! I hope he doesn't get disappointed but continues to have that attitude! And man, him and Em sound VERY similar. Emily has been really helpful yet then she'll pick on Delaney.
How did last night go?!
Well, we had an interesting night. I ventured out because I didn't want to go anywhere today. So, I had dh meet me at the mall (he wanted to do some shopping right after work.) I got my groceries and fruit for the stockings. Well, we only chipped 2 people off our list and still have a few more! ahh But, I decided to get my mom a $25 Amazon gift certficate along with the Costco membership (shared gift with my dad.)
Man, I started writing this at 7 (yes, up early) and will finish it before 12! lol
So, our interesting night. We walked around the mall and had to look at the domestic kitties they had at the pet store. On our way out, we looked at them again and I told the girls to check out the doggies in the back. Emily came out saying, they still have 2 ragdoll kitties!! When we went to the mall on Monday, they had 4 in the front window and we loved watching them. 2 were sold when we went back that night (yes, I've been to the mall WAY too much this past week though haven't spent a ton there, somehow.) Well, when we went back yesterday night, I figured they wouldn't have any left and assumed they didn't because they weren't in the front. Anyways, after watching them for a while and hemming and hawing, we asked to hold both of them. We ended up buying 1 (um, $450 later, how stupid of us.) It's a himalayan/ragdoll cross and is so freakin' cute. I'm realizing I really don't like the kitty stage. It's so small and we haven't let it explore much because I'm afraid she'll get lost or hurt or something. I just want it to be bigger so we can let her roam on her own and see if she truly will be a lap cat like they say these cats are.
Sooo, that's my Christmas gift and the $250 I got for my birthday will go towards it so that doesn't make it AS bad. (we'll ignore all the extra vet costs associated with it and that we have to buy kitten food until she's older.) I somewhat have buyer's remorse today but I'm hoping to be REALLY diligent about where I spend money come the new year.
We also went to Wal-mart... Timmy needed new boots (the poor guy.. he's in size 5 and I checked his feet with the feet measurer thingy and his feet are BIGGER than a 5.) We also got some toys for the cat (that has yet to be named) because ours are packed away still. Plus, I let them pick out a hot wheels car each now that the track is set up and has batteries (and the cheapy set my MIL got Timmy doesn't really work that well with the track.) Ah, an extra $3 that should be cut out.
Sooo, my afternoon will be crazy. We're heading to church for 4:30, I think. My friend was supposed to come to church and then to our house for a few hours since her husband is a firefighter and works tonight but she emailed to say that she may not be able to come. I'm glad I didn't really tell the girls so they can't be disappointed.
I have to have a bathroom break, email dh a list of things to pick up at Wal-mart (kitty litter that I couldn't pick up) and figure out lunch. Then, it's cleaning, baking, and laundry time.
Hope you're having a good day :)
