This is Dozer. He is an eleven-month-old Mantle Great Dane, and I have had him since he was a pup. There is nothing that Dozer likes better than to romp on the beach at the Oregon coast. Because of his size and outgoing nature, he always draws people in so we have met many new friends. He is a very precocious pup. He knows exactly how many times he'll be told "No!" before he'll listen, but present a treat and he'll run through his list of tricks; sit, speak, shake, lie down. All in that order! He loves everybody and hates to be left out of gatherings. He wants so much to play with our cat Mojo but has gotten so big so fast that Mojo doesn't quite know what to do. So he merely tolerates Dozer. Dozer is imposing to those he first meets but is soon leaning heavily against their legs demanding to be petted. His favorite game is run between our legs and lift us up! The mere mention of the word "walk" sends Dozer running to his leash. A Dane can be a handful at times. He has claimed the love seat in the living room as his own. Whenever we visit the beach we head to the local candy shop where they also sell dipped doggie treats. The owner always saves a special treat for Dozer (as the owner is a former Dane owner). Hugs, AngelBear7042
