Aww shitola Witch. I know the feeling of having a job pulled right out from underneath you like they did Fredo those few months ago. It's really hard out here in Indiana to find a decent paying job and I only pray that things will go your way and you can go ahead w/your plans. I wish you all the best.

The world is getting a big ole wake up call. I'm sorry your ex got caught up in it though.

It's getting bad here too and it is only beginning. There was a memo posted by all of the time clocks at work saying that we are the only casino in town that is not laying off right now. It's true too. We have the good fortune to have been bought out of the corporation by Michael Gaughan himself so we are exempt from a lot of the downsizing that is going on around Vegas. Joe's sister has worked for MGM for 14 years and they just laidoff 2,500 people. The Station casino chain laid off 1,500.

I hope the days of mindless spending and waste haven't cost us too much to recover from.

thats horrible, what does he do? you can always tell him to get into a truck and do some long hauling. not much money in that anymore...but its something. it will get him out of the house weeks at a time.

why are you still living with your ex?

I am sorry for the dashed dream, Witch & hope it's only a temporary fright. Unless a lot of time goes by without his finding something equal to, or better, there's the hope that it's only a missed beat and not the last one.

bills then trying to
support ourselves
individually

we get along like
brother and sister
its all good

he's a "geotechnicial technician"

plays in the dirt, I always said,

also he tests all aspects of the
building and construction field

from asphalt to plane propellers
to doorknobs to slabs of granite
they paster onto high rise buildings

he did get a good separation cheque
but still......

....hauling loads up here
isnt what it used to be

its really cut throat and cheap paying
