yesterday, I posted an ad on petfinder for this GSD that we rescued, that must find a new forever home. I stated that we were only fostering him, until we found this home, and thats all we wanted for him, a good home. In the last 24-hrs. Ive gotten a dozen emails about this dog! However, theyre scam emails, I know this, but I cant figure out why! Heres a couple of them. what motive can you figure out? Its weird, and it almost sounds like the same person is writing these. ~ they sure cant write. I had something like this happen when I was answering an ad for a parrot one time. I just knew it was a scam. Good luck.. |

They look and sound similar to me too. And yes, sounds like a major scam - from a very ignorant person. Motive? Halloween is coming up - and I only say that cuz my Idget is all black and I was told to keep him in the house for the week or two surrounding the holiday. Ick, huh? Can't think of any other good motive except money - maybe they want to sell the dog for money. What's a GSD? |

when u reply to these ads from scammers, dont you indicate that you are real and then they start sending out scam and flame emails thats why when you just delete unknown emails they think u are not real its a big market out there for scammers..........so just dont answer them kinda sad, cause somewhere in that web of messes is a gueninuene (sp?) person that would like that dog |

i never adv for a animal. my sister in law bought her purebreed mustach dog that way. paid it think around $800. these people asking for shipping from your address. i would meet else where not at your home. saw a cute movie today...chawawa at the theator. about a bunch of dogs. the little beverly hill chawawa goes to mexico and gets kidnapped. and other dogs try to help her find her way home. |

That goes without even saying, that Id never ever answer one of these emails. But when you put an ad in, on the internet, you dont know theyre scammers till you read one. I just found it interesting that theyre even using dogs! That makes me irate! mw |

mtnwoman RainyNytes is right. The wording is almost exactly the same as the famous Nigerian scam. They will be sending you more messages, pushing you for information. It will end that they will need you to cash a check, (which is fake) for a high amount of money and send them the overage to them. Ed |

None of them sounds literate. They don't use the language properly and sound like the same person or nationality. It is a scam and I agree that you shouldn't een reply to them. What a bunch of ah's! |

yes, nigerian, is what Im thinking too. None of them know the English language enough, for it to be the primary language. Theyre all basically, the same story. Here's one that I just received. I think it sheds alittle more lite on what their plan is.
