well, this is a big debate for me because we of course now live in the Country and there is a BIG difference between the Country and City living. i do not belive that living in the City children under 12 should be allowed outside by themselves, but hell now a days even teenagers are not safe alone. the girls are usually never without atleast one of the other so its not really an issue here now. |

Thank God we live in the country so there was never a time Jessica couldn't go outside to play alone under the watchfull eyes or alert ears of here mom of course so she was never really "alone" LOL I feel so bad for townsfolk who can't let their kids out to play. I was raised in town and played by myself since I was old enough to walk but that was a different time. There were no strangers and if there was, they were looking out for the kids as well. I don't know what I would do today if I was a city dweller with children. It's a damn shame we have to be so careful now. Wade |

I grew up in a small town, and even though it has grown since I was a little girl, we live in a safe neighborhood. The kids can play outside alone, only they are normally with the other 5 or 6 kids in the neighborhood. I am not the only parent who looks out for the either. We all watch out for everyone. I have been known a time or 2 to also yell at them when they did wrong, sent kids home for not behaving, and have had mine sent home for the same reason. I guess we have that "village" thing going on here, lol. |
