What do you think about stores not using the word Christmas this year? Target, Lowes, Sears, Walgreens, and many other stores in my area refuse to use the word Christmas this year in their advertising for fear of offending our non-christian friends. I even heard a Sears advertisment on TV that used the song Wish you a Merry Christmas but used the words Happy Holidays instead. They said they didnt want to offend anyone so they decided not to push Christianity off on the non believers. Apparently not caring if they offended the much larger Christian community. This is the season of Christmas, the birth of our saviour, The son of God which our country was founded under. We are even having problems putting nativity scenes in our own yards in some communities this year cause it pisses off the jews and non christians that pass by. What the Hell. They gladly take the days off from work and accept presents from the work place tho. I think they should stay at work and do it for free since our money has God we Trust on it. But thats another ugly can of worms for later....... Right now this Christmas thing has me so pissed off. WHAT DO YOU THINK? WADE |

I don't know about up your way Wade, but Wal-Mart tried the same thing here, and they heard about it loud and clear. Target doesn't surprise me, they don't even support our troops. The only thing we can do is simple- an all out boycott of these stores and any others, even those online. We down south are already in the politically correct frame of mind. There is Christmas, Channukah, and even Kwanza. Seems Christmas is in competition with other ethnic holidays. And the sad thing is, nobody says a word. Each and every church locally should be in formed of these anti-Christmas stores and make a pledge to our congregations and our Lord not to spend our "In God We Trust" dollars to perpetuate their anti Christ (which is exactly what it is) positions and flood the editorial pages of the local papers with the facts on these stores. This is just another stone of the foundation of this country being chipped away and if we don't take a stand soon, the foundation's gonna come tumbling right down around our ears. That said, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night. |

This is the letter I received from the American Family Accociation naming the stores that refuse to use Christmas in there adverts. I missed a few in my first post. Dear Wade, I thought you would be interested in a survey we did. We gathered advertising inserts from 11 different companies placed in two papers on Nov. 27 (Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal and Memphis Commercial Appeal.) Combined, the inserts totaled 280 pages.
Of the 11 companies, only one—McRae's/Belks—had a reference to "Christmas." They mentioned "Christmas" only two times. The other 10 companies did not mention "Christmas" a single time! While refusing to use "Christmas," they used the term "holiday" a total of 59 times in their 10 inserts.
The companies which refused to mention Christmas a single time in their 260 pages of insert promotions were Target, Kroger, Office Max, Walgreens, Sears, Staples, Lowe's, J.C. Penney, Dell and Best Buy.
Ask these companies why they banned "Christmas" in their in-store promotions and retail advertising and they will tell you they didn't want to offend anyone. They mean, of course, anyone except Christians.
These retailers are willing to use Christmas to secure about 20% of their yearly sales, but they absolutely refuse to mention the Reason for the season.
To see what we can achieve by working together, read the statement from Federated Stores. We boycotted them last year. Click here to see how they have changed.
Please sign our petition below. We are writing every national retailer which bans "Christmas" asking them to change their policy and letting them know how many have signed the petition. Thus far we have nearly 350,000. Our goal is 1,000,000. It is urgent that you sign the petition and forward it to your friends and family. We need numbers so that the national retailers will take notice!
If we will stick together and take action, next year we will see scores of retailers recognizing "Christmas" as a Christian holy day instead of a secular "holiday".
Sincerely, Don Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman American Family Association P.S. Be sure to forward this to your family and friends! |

Here's an update and a new list of assholes that are catering to the athiests. You can e-mail em if you want to and send them your opinions!! LOL I did .............. Wade | Please forward this e-mail message to your family and friends! | | | Target Backing Off Ban, May Use Christmas In Ads Later This Year Dear Wade, Your efforts are having a powerful effect! Our boycott of Target is working! According to the New York Times, a spokeswoman for Target said it did not intend to ban Christmas and might use Christmas in advertisements later this year! In addition, Sears is adding "Merry Christmas" signs in their stores.
And here is new evidence of anti-Christian bias: A survey done by AFA shows that 91% of TV ads ban Christmas from their advertising. We want you to help us stop this banning of Christmas. The survey included one night (Dec. 1) of prime time programming on the four major networks.
As Bill O'Reilly of The O'Reilly Factor on Fox News Channel said, "There is an anti-Christian bias in this country, and it is more on display at Christmas season than any other time."
AFA found that the "holiday" theme was used in 105 commercials while Christmas was the theme in only 11. This follows the pattern in print advertising where "holiday" was used 25 times more often than Christmas.
These companies don't want to offend a handful of atheists and agnostics, but they don't mind offending millions of Christians who celebrate the Reason for the season. They find Christmas an offensive word.
| These are the companies that have banned "Christmas" from their retail ads, in-store promotions or television commercials. Please take time to let them know you are offended by their anti-Christian and anti-Christmas bias. Their contact information is below. In addition, companies marked with an asterisk* have gone so far as to substitute the phrase "Holiday or Dream trees" instead of "Christmas trees" in their promotions. * Target (612) 304-6073 [email protected] Target refuses to use the word "Christmas" in any of their corporate advertising. Their latest 36-page ad insert did use the phrase "holiday" 31 times. In addition, Target has banned the Salvation Army bell ringers from their stores, but opted to sell items online for customers to donate to the Salvation Army. Ironically, Target doesn't give a single cent to them, but profits from your purchase. They also charge you to ship the item to the Salvation Army. Click Here to Sign the Target Boycott Pledge Now! | * Sears (847) 286-2500 [email protected] Sears, owned by Kmart, is advertising "Holiday" trees on page seven of their circular. It also was noticeably absent of the word "Christmas." | Lowe's (800) 445-6937 We are pleased to update you about Lowe’s sale of Christmas trees. Lowe’s informed the AFA yesterday that it is removing banners referring to “holiday trees?from its stores (the actual product signs inside Lowe’s stores did say Christmas trees, but the outside banner did not). Lowe’s says it has proudly sold Christmas trees in its stores for decades, and continues to do so this year in all of its stores nationwide. All 49 varieties of live and artificial trees at Lowe’s and on Lowes.com are labeled as Christmas trees. Lowe’s assures AFA that the language on the banner was a mistake, and was not in any way an attempt to remove Christmas from the season. We applaud Lowe’s for listening to its customers and responding to their concerns. Just as we alerted Lowe’s to our concerns, now let’s show them our support by sending thank you emails and shopping in their stores. Click Here To Thank Lowe's Now! | Office Max (877) 484-3629 [email protected] Office Max offers no "Christmas" in their advertising. | Kmart (800) 635-6278 [email protected] Kmart promotes a "Holiday Sale" on their website. Links to the trees webpage asks if you "Need it by Christmas," but refers you to its "Holiday Shipping Dates" section. | Staples (800) 378-2753 [email protected] In searching for "Christmas" on their website, results show only three matches. Staples ads avoid using "Christmas." | Home Depot (800) 430-3376 [email protected] Home Depot says "In order to avoid endorsing a particular set of beliefs and to encourage the diversity we desire, The Home Depot has chosen to refer to this time of year as the 'Holiday Season'." | Best Buy (888) 237-8289 [email protected] Best Buy offers no "Christmas" in their advertising. | Kohl's (866) 887-8884 [email protected] Kohl's offers no "Christmas" in their advertising. | These companies have banned "Christmas" from their television commercials. In a review of commercials aired on prime-time broadcast network, these companies clearly marketed their ads to Christmas shoppers without using the word "Christmas." In a total of 116 commercials, only 11 (9%) included the word "Christmas" in the ad.

NEW HEROES EMERGING IN THE BATTLE FOR CHRISTMAS
Gov. Sonny Perdue of Georgia has become a hero of the Christmas season.
After a staff member sent out an e-mail news release announcing that Gov. Perdue and his wife Mary would be lighting a “holiday tree?at the governor’s mansion, the governor ?an outspoken Christian ?quickly set the record straight.
Within moments after that initial e-mail had gone out, Gov. Perdue sent out a follow-up e-mail announcing that he would be lighting a “Christmas tree??not a “holiday tree.?BR> The follow-up e-mail from Gov. Perdue’s office was a classic.
It read: “Due to a politically-correct staff brain-freeze, the [governor’s] press office erroneously used the word ‘holiday tree?to describe the coniferous flora that the governor and first lady will light this Sunday.?BR> It continued, “It is, in fact, a Christmas tree. The staffer responsible can be contacted at P.O. Box 432, Anchorage, Alaska, 99501.?BR> The message from Gov. Perdue was clear: he will not tolerate the diluting of Christmas. I need to clear up the post I made on 12/3. Christmas and Channukah are religious holidays, Kwanza is not Saying Merry Christmas and/or Happy Channukah I have no problem. If these greetings offend you, you can tough it out for a few weeks. So called political correctness has all but ruined this country; unless you aren't a WASP. So, Merry Christmas, Happy Channukah, and remember the reason for this season. |

| Please forward this e-mail message to your family and friends! | | | Progressive Insurance Chairman Gives $8.5 Million To ACLU Gift helps ACLU in their War on Christmas Dear Wade, In one of his recent columns, Chuck Colson relates the following story.
In a Texas classroom, children were told to draw a tracing of their foot, and then put a message on the drawing. One little girl wrote "Jesus Loves Me" on hers. What happened next shows the abysmal state of religious tolerance in America.
As Fox news anchor John Gibson relates in his new book, The War on Christmas, the child's teacher ripped the tracing off the board. "Don't you ever do this again," she said. The little girl burst into tears.
When her outraged father called the school, nervous officials told the child to make another tracing. She did so—but this time, instead of scrawling "Jesus Loves Me," she drew a tiny cross that was so small it was almost invisible. Behind nearly every such incident you will find the ACLU. According to the New York Times, Peter Lewis, chairman of Progressive Insurance, believes in the mission and work of the ACLU so much that he gave them $8.5 million.
Chairman Lewis' gift helps the ACLU promote their anti-Christmas agenda such as:
- Removing nativity scenes from public property
- Banning songs such as Silent Night from schools
- Refusing to allow students to write about the Christian aspect of Christmas in school projects
- Renaming Christmas break Winter break
- Refusing to allow a city sponsored Christmas parade to be called a Christmas parade
- Not allowing a Christmas tree in a public school
- Renaming a Christmas tree displayed on public property a Holiday tree
In addition to their war on Christmas, the ACLU uses gifts like that from Chairman Lewis to:
- Sue states to force them to legalize homosexual marriage
- Force libraries to remove porn filters from their computers
- Sue the Boy Scouts to force them to accept homosexuals as scout leaders
- Help legalize child pornography
- Legalize live sex acts in bars in Oregon
- Protect the North American Man Boy Love Association whose motto is "sex by eight or it is too late"
- Censor student led prayer at graduation
- Remove "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance
- Remove "In God We Trust" on our currency
Recommended action: If you have a Progressive Insurance policy, cancel it. If you don't have a Progressive policy, let Chairman Lewis know you will not be buying one. (We recommend you do not purchase Allstate Insurance. We will explain our recommendation in a future letter.)
Extremely important! Please forward this to your family and friends. The vast majority of them probably aren't aware of Chairman Lewis' gift to the ACLU.
Thanks for caring enough to get involved. Sincerely, Don Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman American Family Association P.S. Please forward this e-mail message to your family and friends! | | |
