I've just been informed by CBS News that tomorrow is the first anniversary of Katrina.
I have mixed feelings on this subject.
First my heart goes out to those displaced by this horrific storm. To those who chose to burn, riot, steal, rape and murder( civilians and law officials), may you suffer a fate worse than death.
I want to know when and how President Bush inherited a crystal ball to know even more than the National Weather Service as to exactly when, where and how severe the land fall would be.
Should not the blame for disorginization and mayhem fall at the feet of the state government, the Mayor and Governor (both who were ironically re-elected).
The federal government is there to help AFTER the fact, not to get the elderly and infirmed safely out of harms way. And as far as government aid, that should not include all the fires started by the same ignorant pricks that destroyed what Katrina didn't.
And for those in Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama that pulled together to help one another through this same catastrophe, the rest of the country may not have taken notice ,but I did. May God bless you all.
