There are a few.Honesty, give everyone a fair shake. And that people are first and foremost people.
There are men and women, but again people first. They may be white, black, mexican, etc. but again people .Give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but if they use you once, don't let it happen twice.

My dad taught me a trade. I still make a living to this day building houses. He wasnt much on teaching life's lessons cuz he told me I would have to learn those on my own. I wouldn't have listened to him anyways. It's funny, when I was 18 I thought my dad was the dummest man on Earth. Now I look back and wish to hell that I would have listened to the things he told me. He was brilliant !!!
He did teach me sportsmanship and that a handshake was more important than a written contract, and more binding. He taught me to charge an honest price for an honest job. That has paid off more than 100 times with repeat customers. I am pushing 50 and my dad is pushing 80 so I spend almost everyday visiting with him before he's gone. I guess I'm trying to make up for the stupid things I did when I was a kid. LOL
I'm sure he taught me more than I have said, but I probably wasn't listening ...................
