Katrina came in with a force not seen in a while. Granted we're not BELOW sea level, but had Katrina hit Beaufort, we'd not be here.
I may be naive, but I'd like to believe that afterward the citizens would ban together for the cause of helping each other and our town begin to heal and rebuild our community. I am amazed, shocked and disappointed to read where New Orleans is being burned, looted and the rate of violent crimes are escalating.
The present administration is not responsible for this disaster. Agencies are doing what tey can to get aid to not only Louisiana, but Mississippi, and Alabama and parts of Florida.
But when you loot just to get DVD players, TV's ,etc., then looters should be shot.
Food, water , clothing, shelters, indeed help. Spend taxpayers money to rebuild what a few jerks have burned and looted after the fact, NO!!
