my middle daughter was born with both these problem's and they are Cronic. i contracted Chicken Pox when i was pregnant with her and the results were her having Psoriosis and Exzema, she also had shingles when she was 4 months old. so far we have tried everything under the sun to control these things from OTC's , perscriptions and even some home remedies and nothing seems to help. i am looking for anything that will help her, she is no longer affected by the teasing or other things , but she is a beautiful little girl and the conditions are on her face and head mostly. if anyone has any suggestions please leave them on this thread for me. thanks ~ flamey |

I'm not a kid anymore, but a few years ago I started suffering with what I think is Psoriosis. Thought at first iI had poison Ivy, but 3 years later it still flairs up, so that is out of the question. For the most part it is on my elbows and knees. The itching is sometimes horrific!!! I have found that washing with Phisoderm Clear confidence has helped a great deal. Its the one for acne, but it contains stalicylic acid, and it helps to dry it, while miosturing at the same time. It comes in a body wash thats great for all over! I also found a lotion with the same acid in it that helps for itchy moments, lol. Hope this helps!! |

ok, I came across this and figured it might help others. I thought that what I had was a skin disorder, but come to find out it was an allergy to gluten. Its called Dermatitis Herpetiformis I'll give ya the link and let ya read about it. It really surprised me!! |

Well, i have a bit of time on my hands today and thought i might add a few things that we found that are helping Mary-Ann with her conditions. First, she is still using the EMU OIL and it helps alot with the dryness and flaking on her ears and around her scalp. She also watched an ad on TV the other week and we started using the new Selsum Blue Shampoo in the blue bottles... the first time results were amazing and the scalp is cleaner and shinier than with other treatments that we have tried. She is always looking for new things to try, but i think that for now we have found something that really works and will stick with it for awhile. As with any Shampoos though it is good to change off once in a while and use something different as to not have build-up accure which can cause them not to work like they should. |
