Things are not always as they seem on the outside, sometimes there are things wrong inside that no-one can explain and right now Desiraye, my youngest daughter, age eleven is going through that. She has been having severe headaches now off an on for about a month...blood test show nothing and today she is going in for an MRI. The docotrs can not explain whats going on and we are praying that its nothing serious. I do not know how I am going to pay for all these tests and survive this if it is something serious, my children are my world. Please say a few prayers for us. tracy...aka flamey~MSTDB | | |

Flame, I am so very sorry to hear that but one thing I know from personal experience, God works wonders. Whether you believe in a higher being or not, I prefer to believe there is someone greater than we here on earth. All I can say is to put your faith in Him and the doctors that the problem will be found and can be cured and/ or controlled with meds. And if it be His will, it can disappear never to recur again. Thru all this, remember that He has a purpose for all that occurs. That being said, prayers, hopes , and good wishes go to you, Desi, and the rest of your family because this is a family situation, granted moreso for Desi and you, but family none the less. Keep us posted, if we can help just say so. |

Hey flame, weird that i signed in and read your request...you are in mine. Its a real coincidence that desi is having all this. Good friends of ours just spent 2 weeks at Boston Childrens with their 12 year old. He had had severe headaches for about a month. He finally was in so much pain on the couch crying, they took him to the emergency room and they gave him morphine adn sent him home - nothing found in mri's or otherwise. Ended up back in the emergency room the next day as his vision was blurring and dizziness, numbeness and the likes. they decided to contact a pediatric specialist, who came in and detected a severe sinus infection that had gone into the cavity that goes under the brain. Rare case...ended up having surgery tha night to remove the infection and it was VERy severe. They also enlarged his sinus'. The drs said in 15 yrs they have never seen one so resilient to antibiotics. He came home yesterday and has a line in his arm for them to administer his anitbiotics with a visiting nurse. He will be out of school another 2 weeks or so on mega meds. So push the doctors and get in their FACES!! I hope its something simple. praying for you, Snow |

sorry i havent put anything back in here in awhile... between working, school, the farm and other family things there wasnt time to just sit and reflect on everything thats been going on... Since school has ended Desirayes headaches have not been as severe as they were, we went to the Allergist and they said thats not what was causing the problems... so right now we are waiting to see what else can be done or if she might grow out of the problem like the Doctor said... Next trip is to a Neurologist which is suppossed to be coming to Devils Lake this fall...i will keep everyone posted. |
