What work don't I do? I am the technical services person: I catalog all the books and movies etc, i try to keep all the puters running, I install software. I also got stuck with e-rate (universal service aid to poor libraries) when the admin person retired; I used to mend all the hurt books and do overdues but I got to offload those; I do long-overdues; i do genealogy research occasionally, and .... uh I forget. Did I mention we have a small staff? |

I wish, Millie. Mostly it means when they can't figure out something, they holler, "Tooosca, hellllp" So far I think my moving plans are on schedule. Behind on a couple things, but aheard on others. The network is moving today, so I wore myself to a frazzle yesterday moving the servers, 2 circulations, my cataloging puter, the boss' puter, and the payroll person. Half-way through I realised that the older puters are hooked to the switches in the basement by very long data cords through holes in the concrete floor - so we need new computer cords. I hope I won't be so tired today. We are still debating on who gets whose desk. The boss has a new set, so the old one is trickling down. Mine is not a full-sized desk, so I begged for a real one. Of course there's no telling when there will be manpower to move the furniture, they are concentrating on the books. |

I must say it looks beautiful....is this a library you are running or creating? At first I thought it was in your home... is it or is it at a work space? It is perfectly beautiful.
Very impressed!

He does it to scare me, for sure. It's the 2nd time I've caught him doing it. On that perch he's about 18 feet above the ground. We have gone from 7000 sq. feet to 22,300 - room to grow for years to come we hope. |

When I watched cats in the womb, it told how cats can't climb down trees. That's very scary. Bad Shakes. |

After Pericles, my 5th cat, got stuck up a tree, I have given all my cats climbing lessons when they first try to climb. They can be taught to climb down backwards. Their first instinct is to come down head fisrt which is very dangerous. I put them a couple feet up the tree, and place their hind feet, and then their front feet, and after a couple of climb downs, they get it. |

that is so smart of you to teach your furries how to climb down! That shouldn't surprise me, though. You are one smart cookie! |
