WRITE THE NATIONAL TALK SHOWS

I have started this advocacy project to compliment the government letter writing campaign.

What I am asking here is for everyone to contact the national talk shows such as oprah and ask them to run a show on RSD.

My goal for this project is to increase national awareness of RSD. This will help us to gain public support for our other advocacy project.
Again if anyone needs assitance I will be more happy to provide it. I am again searching for links to these shows in the United States, the links will be posted under links on this site.
Please remember you are fighting for your rights as tax paying citizens of this country.

NATIONAL LETTER WRITING PROJECT

I am running this project in order to raise the awareness of the government, both on the State and National leve, to the issues that concern those of us with RSD.

The letters you write should include a description of life with RSD, The cause of your RSD (if you don't know how you got it say so), the pain you endure and the procedures and drugs you have tried (include costs and how they were paid for), the way you have been treated by employers because of it, the approximate number of days a year you miss from work because of it, and how you have been treated by  hospitals, physicians, insurance companies and government run programs such as Social Security and Workman's comp. Be detailed but not long winded and don't appear to be whining. You need to sound somewhat professional in your approach to this. I will help anyone who needs it.

I will be looking for links to easy to use sites where you can get the information you need on how to reach your government officials in the United States.

Ask friends and family members to join you in this project. The more the merrier. And remember to let them know about this site because they are welcome here too.

There is a sample letter I wrote on the RSD News link. It didn't cut and paste well but I think it is usable. Feel free to use it putting in your information instead of mine. Don't forget (even if you are emailing) to provide all your contact information, if you don't your letter will end up in the trash can before the government official ever gets close to it.

Again anyone needing help should feel free to email me. I am more than happy to help even if it is just to attach the posted letter to you.
