Hey Gang,

Winter is now upon us and the cold is in the air. I don't know about the rest of you but my pain levels are going up as we speak. I hope there are at least some of you who have their pain under control enough that winter won't be a nightmare.

Here in Wyoming winter is really biting, and this year is looking to be no different. Too cold, and too windy! The only advantage we have here is that the humidity stays fairly low except when we are expecting a snow storm.

I hope that through the pain we are all experiencing at this time of year we can make every effort to have a wonderful holiday season. With that said My wish for you all is that you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and pain-free New Year!

Happy Holidays
Janine

Dear kramer
it nice top meet you. From what I understand the pain is made worse for to reasons.Obe the cold weather causes blood vessel to contract there fore mAKEING IT HARD FOR BLOOD TO TRAVEL TO YOUR LEGS.sECOND THE CHANGE IT THE PRESSURE CAN ALSO BRING ON THE PAINS BECAUSE SOME FOLKS IT GET WORSE WHEN IT RAINS OR SNOWS ECT.tO HELP HIS TRY AND AVOID GOING OUTSIDE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.aLLLWAYS DRESS EXTREMELY WARM WHEN YOU GO OUTSIDE MAAKING SURE THAT THE AFFECTED AREA IS COMPLETE COVERED UP.tHIS SHOULS HELP THE PAIN SOME.
HOPE THAT THIS HELPS YOU
 LOVE aLWAYS MIRAGE

Thanks for the welcome
I developed rsd from work we think i work on a computer 12 hours a day so i
guess that will do it
first the doctor told me i had tendonitis and sent me to physio and all that
did was make it hurt worse so i went back to work and finally 2 months ago
my doctor said enough is enough and sent me to a surgeon. i waited 6 weeks
for that appoiintment she told me i had rsd and said i need cortizone shots
and surgery i went and researched the shots and surgery now not only am i in
pain but i am scared to death

i hope someone can give me some insight cause i am gonna ask to see another
surgeon when i go back to see my doctor

I have to agree with you, It has been almost five years now that I have been found to have RSD. And living in Wisconsin I swear is killing me. I am new to these boards, Like i said o have had RSD or CRPS which ever you prefer for five years now, and lately I have just been finding it VERY hard to deal with. So I thought maybe if I could talk to some others that had it, maybe that would help. People that don't have it, just don't understand.

I used to be a clown always making people laugh, that was what made me happy. Now it seems all I do is snap at people, I feel so bad for my fiancee, I have no idea how she puts up with me. We got together about two to three weeks after the accident that gave me RSD (about five years). So she has been through this whole ordeal with me.
