Hi,
My daughter had very bad spasms, she couldn't sleep at night, her chest would hurt each time she took a breath, her hands would claw and her feet would curl up so she couldn't walk. Sometimes her whole left side would spasm at the same time and she would look and act like she had a stroke. This would happen many times a day.
We used the heatpacks to relax the muscles but it was a losing battle. Our family doctor prescribed Quinine, the stuff that stops malaria. The difference is night and day. She still has spasms but they are less intense, less in number and she is so much happier.
The Quinine is supposed to have less side effects than the other medication and here in Canada it is used for paraplegics for the same reason,
Hope this info helps.
