All my friends telling me that I should call the TV Station and let them know what the Army is doing to me, and also about RSD. My old co workers want to write letters to the TV Station and telling them that I received so many awards because of my work ethnic, took care off all the Soldiers going/coming back from War and the Army is treating me now like an criminal. I got injured at work and the Army is saying RSD is an pre exsisting condintion , what is a lie. They don't want to pay me the money and admitt that their at fault.
I need advise ; is it a good idea to call the TV station?

Daggi

Hi again daggi,
Here is another thought. If you can get all your friends and family to help you with what details to include, you can write your story on paper and send it to a few of the more poplur national news shows. Hopfully they will do a story of it involving the Govenment and the Army to make them more accountable for your health and the problems with this countries medical care programs and workmans comp and anything else we can add. It would get national attention and help raise the awarness of the problems we all face with RSD. I am sure that there are a few others here that would like to join in your fight.

It's often true that the squeaky wheel gets the oil, but sometimes we have to be certain that when we squeak we are not going to throw a wrench into what we may have going for us. We have to protect our own interests... if we portray ourselves as a crying, loud protesting, money hungry and aggravating individual then our care will be neglected. So the very best thing to bring notice to your case is to privately and respectfully contact news persons with every bit of evidence you can. Be well versed, well organized, very much in emotional control of yourself. Don't go in shooting off all guns or you will shoot yourself in the foot.

I believe you wholeheartedly that you are getting the shaft, oftentimes we do. RSD is an invisible illness unfortunately, If we could only look like we feel then somebody would believe us. But we are not that fortunate and NOBODY can believe that we get up every day and go through our lives every minute with this nearly impossible pain. Their imaginations are not that vivid. I am not doubting you for one second. Just cautioning you because I can sense your anger and rage, and I can truly understand it. My RSD was caused by domestic violence and my dear ex got off with nothing but custody of the children. So dear, I do understand your anger. Just don't let it hurt YOU. You are already hurting enough.

If that is the route you decide to take, go forward with blessings from all of us. But remember to keep your head when all around you are losing theirs. . So you need to develop a strong support system within yourself and all around you. A cocoon if you will. Don't attempt to go it alone. You have to remain focused and calm and have a plan in front of you because it will be hectic and you will need to have your ideas laid out in front of you for reference.

Take care and I will keep you in my prayers. I do hope that your pain lessens some and you get some well needed rest. I hope the days get brighter and a bit easier for you.

Hugz, Normalee
