 W/C shut me off for a year and then was forced to re open my case when I "WAS" diagnosed with RSD and the Dr said it was because of the carpal tunnel surgery they did. You should talk to another comp lawyer, I dont trust insurance companys or lawyers, whos to say that this your isnt taking orders from the comp company just to get a financial kick back. I hope you have already filed for SSD, that was the first thing I did because the surgery that caused the RSD was #6 of 7 nerve surgerys on my arms...the surgeon that did the surgerys on my arms told me to file, that really pissed off the w/c company because then they knew I was going for the total disability...that was when they comp dr criminally falsified my records to close my case...yes, he was busted for doing that! I think the difference is a good lawyer..I had a bad one at first and I proved he wasnt doing his job and he actually quit so he wouldnt have to go to court over it...he might have lost his licence to practice...he was working for the comp company and not me!!! Get another opinion from another lawyer! W/C has to give you some kind of settlement if your RSD was caused by a work related injury...they have to! Your not done, you can contact your local Social Services office and get emergency help...u can in Colorado any way, not really sure about where you live. Just dont give up! Things wont stay like this for ever, I made it thru it and now I live on SSD and bought a  new home with my comp settlement...I hope the same for you!

One more thing Daggi, SSD is a pretty decent amount of money if you paid in a lot, its a hell of a lot better than nothing...get filed if you already havent! And use a SS Lawyer! All they get is part of your back pay you will get, my back pay was over 30k for the two years I waited after I filed...now it would have been sooner but my first lawyer was sitting on his hands...good thing was the amount I got for the time I waited after filing.

I did not paid in a lot I came to America 1982, and I was not working  right away. so SSD will not be enough to make it. MY lawyer left a message for the WC lawyer . I honstly like to give up life

i've had to deal with gov not easy but I agree with frank get another lawyer keep fighting.Most people I know who managed to win there battle it was because they continued to fight for what they knew belonged to them.You have a right to that money and should not stop until you get it.

How will or can I pay my bills with no income, WC was all what I got, I don't know what to do I nned money to live, now with WC sending me no more money I am done. I hope that my lawyer will get an answer soon and he will find a way for me , but I don't have time I cannnot make it without any money, there is no way, might at well be dead I can take it anymore I better off dead

Have you contacted your congressman or senator - maybe they can help.  I do not understand how WC can cut you off bc you will have RSD for the rest of your life.  That is reason to pay you for the rest of your life or negotiaite a settlement.  As for SSD, I applied for that for my son and it was very easy.  It took a little while for the moeny to come through but they paid from the moment I applied.  However, I am not ill and if my son had had to do it with his pain and heavy duty medication, the application might never have got done.  If you feel unable to do it yourself, get a friend, relative or lawyer to do it for you.  If you do not have any money to pay rent, what about welfare?  I am sure your congressperson's or senator's offices can tell you what options you have and ask them to investigate your WC company since their converage is state mandated.  What about contacting your local newspaper or a TV program that will be interested in a "little" peson getting screwed by the system.  Try not to give up..  That is what WC wants.   Linda.

 Please think what you are typing? Things always get worse just before they get better. Please, just contact your local Department of Social Services, they will not let you starve. If you have paid in any social security then you are entitled to something.....and thats better than nothing. You story as it unfolds sounds exactly like mine, workmans comp shut me off illegilly in November....at the start of winter and christmas. At least they got you thru the holidays before they started pulling their crap. This is what they do when they want you to settle cheap, I havent read anything where they have settled with you yet! Ya know, dammit I almost died last month as a result of blood clots in both lungs, I had a one in 5 chance of living. It was at that point I realized living is a lot better than not living. You need to call your Dr and tell him how you are feeling and please do it today! Please!!!!!! Today!!!

Thanks Frank for caring, with all what is going on the pain are so bad, and I am so down right now, Drove around today and ask Churches for help, is makes me feel like I am nobody. I will check out the site
