I am now a high school graduate!! May graduation was on Friday, May 30th. It was a rough day, but I enjoyed myself. Graduation practice was a bit hard because there was a lot of standing, and the stairs were a bit hard since the railing wasn't very secure, so it could move. But for my actual graduation my friend brought a chair for me to sit in until we went back, and I was prepared this time for going up the stairs. I am so happy, I mean this has been a tremendous challenge. I am a bit nervous about college, but I know that I will face it with the same determination that I have always shown in the face of challenges. I can't believe that I am a graduate. I mean, this day always seemed so far away, and now it's come and gone. I still don't know what I want to do with my life, but I hope that I will be able to succeed in everything I set my mind to. My parents got me a cake and we had a little celebration, and my dad took me to best buy and I bought a digital camera. The picture quality could be better, but I've been having fun taking pictures. Unfortunately I also feel under the weather. The day after graduation I woke up feeling sick, that would be my luck. And I feel very sick today. I don't have any energy at all. The test results from the GI specialist showed that I have gastroparesis, which I'm not sure how to explain but the stomach isn't contracting like it should. A healthy person should take no more than 90 minutes to digest food, and I took 211 minutes, and that was just some eggs with a tracer in it. So a big meal probably takes even longer. So I now have some antibiotics I have to take three times a day, twenty minutes before meals, along with Nexium and milk of magnesia tablets. So we're hopeing things will get better for me soon. Okay well, I'll write more when I feel better. |
