I'm very happy to hear there you are getting great care with Dr. Prager at UCLA. I have a question regarding Dr. Prager and his program etc. I've got RSD myself in my back and it just also infested my entire right arm a few months back. I'm happy with the current Pain management doctor I've got now as she listens very well to me and is very supportive of my situation as well. In addition to taking multiple medications/pain meds I also get injections in my back on the "hot spots" of where I have the most amount of pain. The injection is a mix of long/short acting cortizal like medication. She first injects lidocaine and then does the pain relieving medication. They last about 3 to 4 weeks per round of injections. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Without explainling my entire scenario of how and where I have RSD, I'm plainly interested in getting in touch with a doctor like Dr. Prager. My doctor is very "by the book" and not really open to too many other forms of treatment unless they are very safe/proven and don't have a chance of harming me in other ways as I have many other medical problems such as Type 1 Diabetes, high blood pressure, A.D.D. etc. I would like to be able to get another opinion from a doctor like your doctor, DR. Prager to see if there's anything else that he could suggest in my situation that would further help relieve my pain, and help my pain management etc, or potentially suggesting a procedure.

I used to live in Los Angeles, but moved about 5.5 hours north into the East Bay of Ca, about 45 mintues east of San Fransisco in the Bay Area. I'm curious if he'd be open to doing this, and how hard it was for you to get in to see him etc. If want to personally email me wiht more information on him please by all means do so. My email address is [email protected].

Thanks in advance for your help, and I sincerely wish you nothing but the best for yourself and your daughter.

~Phil Perrin
