Dolores,

Don't think of me being so much worse off with this disease.  My goal isn't to compete with anyother individual suffering with this disease.  To each person regardless of severity when exposed to trauma to them it is equally devistating.  To answer your question, no I did not have RSD before I had the screws taken out of my back.  I did wake up in stage II, completely skipping the first stage.  Some of the research is rather dismal but please remain positive.  RSD is a very difficult disease to diagnose but hang in there.
I am more than willing to answer any questions' you may have.  Even with me 2 1/2 years post-diagnosis I am still learning about this disease.  There is research going on out there that everyday something new is learned about RSD.  I pray that oneday a cure will be found for such diseases.
Through research I have found out alot of helpful information.  However, I believe the best information comes from personal experiences.  Conversing with others' that suffer from RSD is in fact the optimumal resource.  So once again, if I can answer any questions I am more than willing if I can help.

Happier days,
Mommazsunshine2

Dolores/ Annie,

Hope all is well with you as with everyone else.  Annie I hope you are recovering from your recent hospital stay.
I have recently came to know about how RSD effects other parts of our bodies, aside from our limbs.  Due to this disease I now have an irregular heartbeat.  I have been blessed with an awesome, thick head of hair and from the RSD it falls out terriable.  I am of child bearing age and have come to find out that our reproductive organs too can be effected.  During a recent visit to my pain specialist I spoke with a man that just recovered from a 7 month coma, due to his respitory system shutting down because of the RSD.  To hear experiences like this scare me absolutely to death.  As the person suffering with this disease it is difficult but I believe our families suffer terriable emotional scars from watching us suffer.
I was reading the post in the RSD NEWS section about the doctor in Germany that thought he could cure this disease.  I sure would like to find somemore literature on this.  I would be worth the trip... if it worked.
How has you autoimune system been effected from RSD?  I am always eager to learn anything new about this thief in our lives, we call RSD.

Better days to come,
Mommazsunshine2
