Hi I just had a question, how common is it to get lesions with RSD. I have full body RSD caused by a foot surgery and have now had it for 4years. In the last months I have started getting lesions on my feet, the worse one is on my right foot on the scar where my RSD started, this lesion is now 2 inches long by 1/2 iches wide, it has been open for the past 5 weeks and I really dont know what to do, does anyone have any ideas that might help? Thanks So Much!!

hi, My husband has got really bad lesions all over both lower legs. He's in a lot of pain with them. The only thing that heals them in about a week is a dressing called Mepilex. You leave it on for about a week to 10 days without disturbing it and it keeps the air out, which helps the healing. You don't have to put any creams on the lesions either. Nothing seems to stop new ones coming up though.Daves will come in waves. He has had this last bout of it for about a month. Hope yours go soon. from Dave and Eels

Hi Sam, your mom wrote to me telling me about you. I have a daughter too who has rsd in most areas of her body and has had many of the same experiences as you.
She has had sores off and on for the last few years. They originally started on her scars too but the latest outbreak was in other areas, sometimes started by mosquito bites, some for no reason. They take ages to heal don't they.
She uses Johnson and Johnson advanced healing bandaids which may be cheaper than the other kind but are used in the same way. They work well on non movement areas but not on elbows.
My daughter Ayasha gets them in waves also and it seems to go on how stressed she is.
Hope this helps.
