Hi Sillyme208,
I too stumble for words now,I wonderd too if it wasnt the medication but I have heard this from other RSD sufferers. The worst thing neurontin did to me was put 40 lbs on me, I didnt stay on it long as it didnt help at all. I went for 2 1/2 years before I was diagnosed and treatment started.
Ive had RSD in both arms for almost 9 years. It started in my right hand after a carpal tunnel surgery and spread to my left arm with in a few months. Now I have to tell that I had several nerve surguries on both arms and I suspect that the RSD followed the nerve damage....My self I think it mirrored to the other arm just to fine more nerve damage to the ulner nerve in my elbo and carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand...I had surgery on both elbo and hand but they both became entrapped again. Well, try not to worry and I hope the eppidural help you as much as they help me.
Frank

Thanks frank,
I am so new to all this I appreciate your help.
One of my dr's decided she wanted to MRI both wrists- elbows- and one shoulder I'm not sure what shes looking for but I'm sure she does lol. The other shoulder has already beed done that one has chronic inflamation of rotator cuff tendons. My neck has been done , that has disk bulging at c5-c6. My wrists have mild carpal tunnel. I figure maybey she is just digging for more answers I'm not sure. Do you have a take on it ?  I'm 34 ant I think takeing a job lifting up to 50 pounds for 12 hours above shoulder hight has wrecked me lol.

Hi dear one,,,, sorry that you are having too deal with that. Mostly the meds cause the speach problems. When I was on the antidepressants n neurotin n clonzipam,,,, and all others,,, I never could find the words too say. Like I was always  always groping tho I knew what I wanted too say. I could not!!!!!   My problem ended up too being overmedicated.  Sure hope that is not happened with you.   That was my deal. Worse yet. When we found that problem took about  two yrs to get over it.  And now has been three yrs since that is done,,, once in while that will still happen. Dr is assured me that it will leave is still a side affect that will go away for as heavily medicated as I was.  Hoping that yours is not as severe as this. Hoping that it helps alot.  Hoping that your able too gear up for a funn weekend.   Huggzz dear one.  Annie

Hello again Sillyme,
I was an Auto tech at a Ford dealer for 27 years and Im sure being a human wrench done me in, 2 carpal tunnel surgeries, 2 ulner nerve transpositions and then one of those surgeries went bad and trapped down the left elbo ulner nerve in scar tissue and it was redone to no avail...the right ulner nerve is also scared down but RSD was diagnosed before they did any more nerve surguries. Lots nerve damage for the RSD to feed on!
Our bodys by design are not machines or wrenches but we are hunters and farmers who for thousands of years got up at day break and hunted down our breakfast, lunch n dinner...we cooked by a fire and slept with the stars. The said automation was the answer and sat us at a keyboard(go figgure). Our stress levels had skyrocketed over the decades of automation n the computer age, constantly changing technology and keeping up with that also stresses our nervous systems.
Frank
