Have been baking gingerbread today, DH's work needs a house for tomorrow - a raffle prize I think.  Also made gingerbread men to give as gifts to my Girls' Brigade girls tonight, it's party night, we are going to McDonald's.

I decided that our fleabag cat needed a bath so just did that while I wait for the kitchen to cool down.  I filled the bath dumped her in to get all wet, let her jump out and lathered her up while she dripped in the corner before dumping her back in to rinse her off.  She vocally let me know she didn't like it one bit, did get me once with her claw while she was scrabbling for the edge of the bath.  She's now licking her "wounds"  out in the sunshine.    She only gets bathed once a year during flea season but she knew something was up when I went out to find her.

WTG on the gingerbreading Cheryl.
And lol, gj on the kitty.
I have been using a flea product called Advantage for almost 10 ys.
No more bathing or house spraying.  Simply put a dab of product on the back of the animals neck (one spot where they can't lick) & PRESTO fleas in the house & cat are dead in about 48 hrs.  Works like a charm.

PRESTO fleas in the house & cat are dead

LOL I read that as the cat being dead as well.  I did buy something like that but it didn't work on adult fleas, stopped them being able to breed and told you to buy something else to use first - a tablet .  I figured that a bath would be much less trouble than trying to force a tablet down the cats mouth - last time I was covered in scratches.

Today I tidied the loungeroom, vacuumed and shampooed the carpet.  Picked up all of the dvds and xbox/playstation games left lying around, cds too.  They can't be bothered putting them back.

Also washed the bathroom floor, cleaned the main loo and shampooed the hallway.  Next job is the family room I have done some but still more needs doing.

Spoke to  BIL about coming over to quote on getting our front yard done he is coming over tomorrow.  Finally getting something done after 7 years of waiting.

I know what you mean.  Another thing is that there would be no cat hairs around the place, I swear she is breeding her own dust bunnies.  And I would never have to worry that the ironing board is covered in hair again.
