the science to tint back, you have to put back all the color shades (undertones) that are missing when tinting back. for example if my client is naturally a level 4 and her her colored hair is at a 10 i need to go back and fill in the undertones that are missing from a 4 to 10, so looking at a color chart that shows you the undertones at each level will tell you whats missing. missing undertones from a 4 to a 10 are red/orange, orange, orange/yellow, yellow/orange, yellow, so i would fill the hair first with these undertones and then use one shade darker than my desired color, so i would use a level 3 or half of a 3 and half of a 4. hope this helps. |
