During my adult life .. I must of tried every diet down the pike! Atkins was good but too limiting .. I wanted something that I could keep up after I went off a diet so  .... eliminate the ones that make you eat specialty foods lol.The one that worked the best for me and I would of stayed on for life (had it not been for FM) was the low carb diet or better known as the Sugar Buster Diet . Sugar is the Culprit that makes you hungry ... speeds you up and then knocks you down .. way down.... a hour later .This also includes artificial sweetners that will indeed "mimic" the real thing .....sugar ... less face it ... how's your body suppose to know the difference and act differently? lol So ... no sugars or at least eat food with less sugars or natural sugars which work thru you system the best . Instead of Diet Soda .. drink water .. lord knows we don't drink enough water lol. Diet Soda will make you thirstier and HUNGRIER, make the choice ... Lose weight? or keep on gaining? ... it's as simple as that . This time .. I had no choice in the matter ... eat better ... or live in pain? well ... I still have my days I'll live with some pain for a piece of Cheesecake lmao!Chocolate .. same thing .. did you ever notice ? you can seldom eat just one piece ? gotta follow that up with another one .. don't ya?  I now choose better "snacks",Fruit Nuts,Crackers(whole wheat is better) and when I have crackers I put peanutbutter on them (high in protien)Pretzels are good also . I promise you if you watch the amount of sugars you eat each day for two weeks .. the cravings will go away and with it the urge to snack.Of course any diet you plan to start must start with a good multivitamin .What is the maximum amount of sugar in foods am I allowed to eat? Well ..... I don't like any one source to have over 10 grams of sugar .. .. under 9 is even better .Drink lots of water ... fruit juices ... pick the ones with reduced sugar and no sugar added ,tea(hot or cold) with lemon ,honey is better than sugar if you gotta have something sweet in yours .Lots of vegetables .. most vegetables except corn which is high in sugar . (carrots too .. especially glazed lol) Meats ... they say lean ... I say you gotta have a little fat in your diet too but keep it on the lean side . Lunch Meats ..... NO! Turkey isn't so bad or  chicken , cheese ... I stick with the "white" varieties ... lower in fat and sugar for some reason . Breads ... Whole wheat is less processed but still don't go "hog wild" on it , I try to limit myself to two slices a day ... which FM , I've been avoiding them altogether . To help me "fill up" Instead of a big entree and one forth of vegetables .. I reverse this ... a small entree and a bowl of vegetables (believe it or not ... you'll start craving vegetables when you cut down on sugar consumption lol)
and finally ... Check with your doctor before starting any diet .
(entertainment purposes only ... don't shoot the messenger lmao!)
