Things I remenber

Spending almost every Summer day at Oakford Park Swimming Pool***, Laying on our blankets ,catching some rays and listening to the tunes of the 60's(70's for me) that they always had playing over the loud speaker.

Having a Kool aid Stand in front of our Aunts House

Having backyard carnivals that benefited muscular dystrophy and if you raise alot you got to be on "Adventure Time"

Speaking of Adventure time I can remember "Kinish" and "Osmo King" I won't explain you wouldn't believe me anyway..lol.

My sister and I being Majorettes... the group was called the "Cassettes" My sister Chris was great, I had the rhythm of a turnip...lol.

Easter parades where EVERYONE dressed up and paraded down the street, complete with girls wearing bonnets(that was a big requirement) :-)

Sundays at my Grandma "Chick's" My sister reminded me that was the night they pasted thier Greenstamps they had collect and pasted them into the books .

And that reminded me of Thanksgiving at my Grandma's where we would gather around the tv to watch "the Wizard of Oz" that was such a treat for all of us.Remember .. no vcr's back then. Half the time in the early 60's there were 2 or 3 hours of blank air time until the next program came on tv.
