For those of you that have lost a pet there's an excellent book out called "In Rememberance of a Special Cat", "A Keepsake Memorial" which some vets do have.
It can also be purchased from Renaissance Books, 5858Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles 90036
This book is compiled and edited by Richard F.X. O'Conner.
I'm not sure if they have a book out that includes other pets, as well, but I was able to read this book while at my friend's place. She just had to have her siamese cat put down due to a problem with it's "valve". She was very upset and crying on the phone so I went over and spent the day with her yesterday and helped her clean, too, since she wanted to keep busy.
It's nice to know that there's vets out there that truly understand what it's like to lose a beloved pet.
