Since I don't have insurance anymore and can't afford my meds, it seems like the only thing that helps me sometimes is a hot bubble bath. Do any of you have any suggestions for at home or that I can afford to do? Thank you. ~Sara |

Staying away from stress, relaxing, having a comfy chair with head rest. Being away from home for any length of time where I have to sit upright really does me in. Gets to the neck, shoulders and back. Once home and in comfy chair all is forgiven. Have you tried the Bath Soak for Pain whereby you put 3 cups Epson salts and 3 (32 ounce) bottles of Peroxide in a tub of hot water? I haven't tried it as getting into tub is easy, getting out is next to impossible and cancels all the benefits of a soak...........Avey |

Hi, I have a few suggestions, email or write to the pharmaceutical companies that make your meds. A lot of them have special programs for those that can't afford meds. There are many different ways to help what ails you without much money, we have some in our medical info. I think this would be a great idea for a chat :) :) :) Thank you :) :) :) |

Hi Sara, I like to use aromatherapy quite a bit. Finding a right "scent" helps to relax. I also like to use a TENS unit which can be purchased at Medical stores. I use candles alot to help me to relax, as well, along with the right type of music, then you can basically meditate. Practice breathing deeply and slowly and focusing on a nice picture, either on your wall or in your mind. I take frequent holidays in my mind to places like Hawaii and places like that. LOL! Tapes that you can buy at stores also have ocean sounds or other relaxing type music which helps alot. Laying down with a warm cloth over your face is relaxing, as well, or even with a hot water bottle. Remember to gently do your stretches and DON'T overdo it. If I can think of anything else then I'll let you know! Dini |

There are lots of companys that will provide meds at cost or free. Have you checked out the links in Medical Info? Also WalMart, Target, KMart, and a few others offer a lot of meds (and the list keeps growing) at $4.00 a month supply. You can also get tablets that fizz up your bath water and feel great :) If there is a Y near you they are very reasonable and usually have heated pools and spas. PLEASE let us know if we can help more and what meds you need!!! If you feel uncomfortable posting this you may always email me at [email protected]!!! :) |
