Ballads: Remembering John ColtraneBy Karrin Allyson. beautiful, magical, wonderful, romantic, ethereal, pure! get it, sit back with a glass of your favorite, turn the lights low, and LISTEN -- if it doesn't transport you, then dust the crust off your heart and soul or give it to a friend! Charlotte ChurchBy Charlotte Church. Her first CD, "Voice of an Angel" just went platinum, and this new one, in my humble opinion should do the same. At the age of 13 (OMG), she is truly a phenomenon. Recommended by Gloria , 11/25/1999.

Come Away with MeBy Norah Jones. This award-winning album is a soul-soaked collection of original and classic bluesy ballads. Her voice and style is smooth and rich, but not heavy - kinda like whipped cream flavored with Grand Marnier dolloped over fresh strawberries. Her rendition of Hank Williams' "Cold Cold Heart" will make you shiver in its desperation and anguish. Awesome! Recommended by MelissaSonger, 11/13/2003.

Dragonfly SummerBy Michael Franks. A number of winners here (including the title number) from a winner. Michael is kinda the Jazz performer's composer/performer. (This was about his 14th album.) Especially memorable is Michael in duet with Peggy Lee (he sounds so much like her usually anyway that you can hardly tell when they switch verses) in a number he wrote for her... "You Were Meant for Me" (no not the oldie)... Recommended by brulebilly, 5/29/2003.

EdenBy Sarah Brightman. Her voice is phenomenal! On another EXCELLENT CD, she sings Andrew Lloyd Weber. I always find listening to her thrilling. Recommended by Gloria , 11/13/1999.

Leon Live!By Leon Russell and company. What can I say? If you like Leon, you'll be in heaven. If you don't, you'll be converted. A live gospel rock 'n' roll frolic through his and others' (The Stones, Dylan) hits, this is one "artificially-induced religious experience." Put yer dancin' shoes on, cause you can't sit still when this double CD set (originally 3 LPs) starts up! Recommended by MelissaSonger, 9/27/2000.

Most Requested SongsBy Susannah McCorkle. World-reknown jazz-pop artist. Fabulous voice and interpreter of lyrics. Accomplished linguist. Her death is a tragic loss to the world of music and poetry. Excellent compilation from her repertoire. Recommended by Suzan , 12/26/2001. Susannah McCorkle">

No FrontiersBy Mary Black. A remarkable CD by a remarkable singer. There is a group of 3 or 4 songwriters whose stuff is particularly fine, including Jimmy McCarthy and Noel Brazil. This is an older CD that may be hard to find, but her more recent stuff is nice, too. Recommended by Rick , 12/15/1999.

NymphetamineBy Cradle of Filth. This album is a must have for anyone who is a fan of dark poerty and(or) black metal. The vocals, guitar, bass, drums & keydoard blend in perfectly togeather. In my opinion this is one of those once in a half decade albums that are rare gems to people who don't know about this band. I'd recomend checking the lyrics to this album out even if u don't like meatal. Recommended by _Antwone_Fisher_, 8/5/2005.
