| My guess is that giving once in a while might relieve you of iron overload, which is a problem in the West.  However, if you are low in iron it could be detrimental.  I'd just follow current guidelines if I were you, unless you start to feel faint or weak or something along those lines.  I think eating a lot of cooked meat or unsaturated fat is very dangerous, in comparison to giving blood as often as current guidelines recommend. |
