Message Board

To start a message and reply is straight forward enough, but there are many things you can do to make your messages stand out.

When you reply to or start a message, there is a row of icons at the top of the message box in which you are typing.

To change the style of your writing, click on ‘font style? a box comes up and then choose the style you want to use, left click on it, then choose the size of your writing by clicking on ‘font size? a box will come up, most peeps choose no. 4.

Then to add colour to your writing, click on the A button, a little box comes up with a list of colours, click on the colour you want to use. Then type your message as usual.

To add a background colour you will need to use the 'insert table' button (7th icon from the left) Choose 1 row and 1 column.Choose your border colour from the pop up and the same for background colour. Left click in the tiny box that appears in the composition window and type as usual. The table will expand to fit your message. You can also change the font & font colour as described above.

You can also centralise your message by clicking on the box two boxes away from U with the underscore. You can also add emoticons onto your message, by clicking on the smiley face to the right of the A button, simply choose the emoticon you want to add by clicking on it.

A REMINDER
PLEASE DON'T POST YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS IN A MESSAGE

One of the reasons we get new members is that peeps can have a look round the VG including the message boards and they realise what an excellent site this is so it encourages them to join.
However this also means that some of the more unscrupulous surfers on the internet can also browse our site and if you include your e-mail addy in a message then they can see it and use it to sell on or to send you any kind of nasty e-mail they want.
