Okay now this is really pissing me off. Since they took away the Support Managers during the day. I have this support manager that comes in at 10pm we closed at 11:00pm. She starts to tell me that she is going to run this crew. OMG I have this crew that I work great in. They already know that some of the departments have no coverage. So we all take turns covering everyone. When the store is done. I walk the store and the areas that I see that need to be worked on. I call them over and we all work on it. I even have groups of associates that take it upon themselves to go over to a department and zone it up. Now this support comes in and tells them all that if they all come in at 5pm. They all are suppose to take there breaks and lunches at the same time. OMG I would have no one on the floor then. It is pissing me off because I can work great with my crew and this one comes along and wants to coach them all. I am about ready to just close and reset the registers and leave the store to this support manager and then management can get a bad walk thru from the DM. My zone has always been great no matter how many associates I have. We all get it done.....Why fix something that is not broken.... Okay I am stepping off my soapbox and walking away. LadyWW,sounds like you are a div.#1 store.I have only worked SS so I don't know if things are the same.She is right,they are suppose to all break at the same time.Check the written schedule for break time. |

Learning, what happens when 7 cashiers come in at 7 a.m., and only 2 come in before 11.....do they all go on lunch at the same time? What if both the 11:00 peope call in? Who watches the front end? Can't be the CSM, cause they have to go to lunch also........just curious. Sorry if that sounds really sarcastic, didn't mean it that way...........!!!!!! |

csmmama, sounds like someone doesn't know how to schedule.We try to stager start times.We would never have more than two comming in at the same time. |

Learning, I've been off the front end for over a year, but I remember well how Mgt had Head CSM redo the schedule to allow for full coverage. At the same time, you had other Mgt allowing some "special" cashiers to work when they wanted, regardless of their schedule. When I worked O/N, I was once told (by Mgt) that I could not deviate from the 2 hour break schedule....period! So, I told her that all the front end would be hers at 12:00, 2:00, and 5:00.....since all of us came in at the same time, and had to break at the same time. You can imagine how well that went over.......Like I said, I wasn't being obnoxious, just a smarta-------. Glad I don't work on the front end any more, things haven't changed all that much......... |

1-888-wmethic is the number for walmart ethics. Be careful when reporting to this. Originally, it was set up that people outside the company answered the phones, then it changed to people passing it along to the regional manager and down the path and retalliation once again occurred. A few months ago walmart posted in the Walmart Today magazine a very bried article ensuring everyone it was once again safe to call this number. I spoke with a manager who said it still has not changed back to outside people answer the calls, they are connected to the company. |
