that is the beauty of anything artistic, it can take you places you may not be able to travel too physically, which is an amazing thing to me. Do you have a picture of the garden by chance? Would love to have a peek!

and I agree, I think we all have a curiousity, even if not admitted ;)

Hummm.. looks like it is still just you and I.  Thank for being here.

You know I took some photos earlier this summer but I don't remember where I put them.  Sorry, if I find one I will post it.

These images give me the feeling of 'been there and done that'. Crazy isn't it?  I like the way you discuss how and why of your art. A glimpse into the mind of an artist is always fasinating for me.

Switch  have you gone through a phase of interest in bald images too?

I would like to see your representation of this concept. I would like to see much more of your pictorial art.
I have only seen a glimpse of your sculptures, and that was fascinating for obvious reasons..it looked like me.
I know you must have more works and sketches, makes me wonder what else we might see in common.

As for the images on this thread, Hair seam to be metaphorically special for a long time..remember Samson and his bad hair day?

Goth,  Where did your opening image go? Are you going to repost and build this thread with me?  I feel unconfortable posting by myself.

I think I may have just figured out where Goth went..

Switch in message 6, Did you move her some where and leave me here??? Abandoned and all alone???

I said, "Not mind Switch, I can still see fine."  I meant I could see Goth's image just fine.

 Nucular Winter
by Orange

It was the coldest of winters in the mountains of Northern Calif.
From a cliff over looking a great frozen valley, I sat shivering and alone in my tiny mobile home deep in the white forest. Night had fallen and the cold increased. With half frozen hands I painted by a kerosene camp lamp which required pumping up every few moments, reminding me of the value of flick on light, which I did not have. The forest was under several feet of snow and the air so still I felt as though I was the last woman on earth.

I thought of the future and the horrible price man was soon to pay.  I thought how only the true spark of love for all the earth could prevent the horrors of the last days of the human race. I thought of our children and the wondrous world they would not see.  I thought of how no more unicorns would dance on fields of green and  bald children would be helplessly riding the backs of their illusions.

As the night got colder I dreamed of a Nuclear Winter and Global Warming.

This is a trance work done in charcole.  I am the watcher somewhere in another plane and a warrior in another.
This image was too graphic for me to detail as it was in the aftermath of a horrendous killing event. I did not bring that destruction forth, but I remember.

How about this for an example of the need to shave the head..Do you think it is Salt that she needs?
Is it a symbolic cleansing? Is this the coming of ..........??,.it would be interesting if it were more than a salt deficiency.
Most of my life I have had a ton of hair. A few years back ..six or so, I took up my razor and shaved the front half of my head.
It was very airy and  strange feeling. I liked it. Then it grew back to that wooly monkey stage of about one half inch..wonderful.
I just loved running my hands over the soft stubble. It was so liberating.
Then it grew to one inch ....not so kewl to look at as it had the appeal of a wire brush with bristles going in all directions.
In desperation I gave it a good curling...yep golden fuzz all over my head creating a fertile ground for well deserved teasing.
As much as I don't like my hair all in my face and am glad that is passed.

Actually I don't think the girls will follow this fad too far, it is not like getting to look extra invitational as with the missing pants.

I get that feeling too. Watching from some other place.  Sometimes it's with the eyes of a writer, other times an artist. Other phases also. Glad you told me this. Thought I was the only one.

Gothic Addiction,  did you or did you not have a bald figure on this thread??
I am confused..it looks like I posted the heading and then the first message is deleted...was that you or me?
It would seam that you did since in message #3 I ask permission for others to add their bald images to ours?
Not that anyone responded to my invitation. Poo!
Something had to start this thread so If you took yours away, could you put it back. It is no fun to have this thread all to myself.

Nice work, Gothic. This is a great thread.

Did you hear that Britney Spears shaved her head while in re-hab? Saw her on the news last night. She did it to make a statement about drugs and new beginnings.

Yeah some people Switch feel they have to make an annoouncement to the world....i think in her case because nobody would believe she was even serious about new beginnings....lol whatever ticks your tock i reckon.

Now bout the bald thang Orange......I cant bring myself to shave my head for art dear lol....but I most certainly may have some artwork from others that I can post here.....your head is cool ....now we know what's inside....I cant paint mine Orange, that would be scarey scarey...I think there's only mashed potato in there....doesn't make for a very interesting self portrait.

Thanks Goth, interesting work.  Bald beings with a big blue ball.  Over and over that is repeated..I wonder what it means? All this odd stuff really does have meaning somewhere in the human consciousness.

Sure did Switch, check the link in #16.  I think it is interesting that she chose to this thing just as we are composing this thread...Show and Tell from the universe?

I think it would be so horrible to be a celebrity. What a nightmare to never be able to go anywhere with out flashes going off in your face. No safe place even for a moment of peace or personal privacy. Nothing is sacred.  I couldn't stand that. It is mental torture. I think that media behavior should be labeled assault and criminal abuse.  Really, how would you like to have someone filming everything you do and feel with out your permission?  Did you ever drink too much and want to puke in privet?
Celebrities should be free to give of themselves what they chose and keep of themselves what is theirs alone.

However; I do think Brittany looks good with her big eyes and  head shaved.  And I don't think that behavior is any wilder that mine at that age. And mild compared to some students I've known. Plus,  I looked good in my purple Mohawk with a braid to my buttocks. Too bad I don't have the energy for all that Jazz anymore. Now I just like watching others.

Trinity are you sure you wouldn't want to do that? It might be some kind of super awaking. Wasn't for me but it might be for you.; she says temptingly lol

I had to laugh that she took control of the situation and chopped that stuff herself. I can relate to that. One time I was mutilating my hair as I usually do when bored and my daughters decided to intervene  by cutting my locks for me.  Those silly girls must have argued for ten minutes about how to make the cuts.
I did just what Brittany did and they both stood there gasping for breath. Lol

What the heck it just hair. As you have probable seen in my photos I have a lots of it in the back...so who needs the front?  I wasn't symbolizing anything I just didn't want that stuff in my face anymore. chop chop all gone.
