Ok, like last night, I did something a little different and daring. I drove myself home in the pouring rain. We were all alone for twenty-five miles, except for two other cars..going the other way so I was free to press on at my own speed and no one would be the wiser. Yes, this night was mine for the taking and I would not be denied.
As I stared between the sparkling rain drops my mind filled with images of lions, tigers and bears, and deer. Still with heart pounding, I pressed on through the dimly lit darkness obtaining speeds of thirty to forty-five miles an hour on the four lanes. With my hands firmly gripped to the wheel and toes touching the peddles, I adjusted the seat size pillow behind my back and I hurled myself though eerie cloud puffs which were just sitting on the road waiting for me, well mists really, but still I traversed at speeds of over fifteen mph. along mountain roads after dark, all with the courage of Anna of England...ta da
I ventured out to see a stage play at CSUChico, The King and I,
The stage props were simple but just fantastic. I want them in my living room. I especially like the way the day, evening and night changed on the city in Siam. I have to guard my self very closely or my home will suffer my excitement.
I absolutely loved the costumes. Glitter everywhere and fluttering fabrics to die for. Plus those bare chest, gold belted, guys in the baggy satin pants with the pony tails sticking out the top of their head were so...so sexy. The music was very impressive...although I think the King could have used a more powerful singing voice. He was not really a person of voice. I can identify with that...poor soul must have teased the same muses i did. Apart from that, his performance was pleasing and I could connect to his bewildered character.
You know Ul Brenner is not as easy act to follow. Like Leno's ...Ross the intern.......... imitating James Earl Jones.
I don't know what is up next but, I can't wait to drive again.
