Speaking with B. 25 year old white male. Approximately 6ft. tall, 180 pounds. Light brown, sun streaked hair and blue eyes. Referred by X in regard to query Unexplainable Incidents. Interview tape recorded. Spoke with B. by phone first and met him at his apartment for the interview. It is a complex for adults only. He is single, with a live in girlfriend and is employed as a business manager for a fast food franchise. He is calm and matter of fact in his account, but clearly hopes that I have similiar cases.

It was the summer before my senior year in college and I took a job house sitting, out in the boonies of a southern state. I don't want to be anymore specific than that.

I was kinda miserable that summer. My best buddy and running mate was getting married and changing schools. While I was happy for him, I knew things would never be the same again. I was facing this realization, just as I discovered the money I needed for my last year at school had fallen thru. Hence the house sitting gig.

The owners of the house were to be gone the entire summer. The terms of empolyment were simple. Feed the animals which consisted of a horse, a few wild ducks that hung out by the pond and a couple of what looked like stray dogs. I was to keep the yard mowed and a riding lawn mower had been provided. On Mondays I was to pick up the housekeeper and drive her back home. Other than that, my time was my own.

Without even wondering what to do, I snatched up the phone and called time/ temperature in my hometown. It was long distance, but I didn't care. Sure enough it was thursday morning. I had been asleep for 39 hours.

As soon as it was a decent hour and I wouldn't scare my mother half to death, I called and told her the whole thing. She's a nurse and did not take this lightly. She was worried about epilepsy, stroke.. that kind of thing. There was no history of it in our family, but she insisted I come to her office right then. I didn't argue.

I fed the horse, put out food for the dogs, locked the place up and started the two hour drive home. All the time I was thinking, even if something medically had made me sleep that long, it still didn't explain how my suitcase had gotten out of a locked car trunk and into the room where I was asleep. I had mentioned it to Mom, but she was so worried about something being wrong with me, it didn't register.

The doctor saw me as soon as I arrived. LOL  I bet my Mom had him jacked 10 feet off the ground about this. I almost felt sorry for him. He's a really nice guy and my mother runs that office. He can't even find a file, when she takes a sick day.

He went over me, but couldn't find anything that would have caused this and wanted to run test. I drew the line then and said no. I was starting to feel kinda stupid, about all of this. I jumped off the table and was dressing when he said, "What happened to your back?"

"Nothing. What do you mean?"

"The scar on your back. What happened there?"  he asked.

"What scar?"

He touched a place between my shoulder blades. It felt funny, there was no feeling to it. I mean I could feel it, but it was like deadened. There was a mirror over the sink, but it was located where I couldn't see it from either side. He handed me a small mirror and I was able to look in it and see the mirror in back of me. It was a little over an inch long and slightly puffed up.

Up until this moment, I had tried to rationalized everything that had happened, but there was no explaining this scar on my back. I had him send my mother back in and went over everything again with her

It was decided (mostly by Mom) that the doctor would lance the scar. I don't know what she told him, but he did it right there in the office. His only remark was it hadn't been cleaned good and there was a little debris in there, that might have gotten infected. He put 2 stitches in and said he would send a piece of the tissue off to be anaylzed. That he said was standard procedure and would take about 2 weeks to get the results.

My mother took a week's vacation and insisted on coming back to the house with me. We opted for upstairs bedrooms, although she did go thru the room downstairs and didn't see anything out of ordinary. She absolutely loved the place and we spent our evenings reminiscing about my childhood and playing cards. My Dad came the following weekend, spent the night and took her back home.

By now the place wasn't so strange to me and I pushed the sleeping incident to the back of my mind.

After Mom left, I felt a little restless and decided to see what the town had to offer in the way of night life. There was a small tavern at the edge of town, but it wasn't the kind of place I felt comfortable in. Most of the patrons were career drinkers and the women were twice my age.

About 15 miles away was a rock club, that featured live music. I made a few friends there and after a couple of weeks, decided to have a small party. The pool was equiped with a small booth that held sound equipment. a testimonial to previous gatherings. At one end of the pool was a barbeque grill made of bricks. From the size of it, I'd say there had been some big parties around this pool.

Meredith, the girl I had been dating at school, came out for the weekend and there were 4 other couples. It was a nice quiet time, at first. Everybody got there around 5 in the afternoon and most of us had been swimming, until it got dark. The colored lights from the pool gave the place a festive feel, the smell of barbequed chicken filled the air, the background music was just loud enough to be happening and still allow for conversation.

Around 10, one of the girls went into the house to use the bathroom. About half an hour later, her girlfriends went in to see what was keeping her. They couldn't find her, so I went in to look. When I couldn't find her, we all started looking thru the house.

We searched that place from top to bottom and she wasn't there. The front door has a key lock, so she couldn't have gone thru there. All three of the doors leading to the wrap around porch were locked from the inside. She couldn't have gotten past us, because a fence encirles the pool and is hooked to the house.

About 2 am, the guy she was with called her parents to see if by chance she had gone home. She hadn't and they called the police, who came out almost immediately. They looked thru the house and around the grounds. I'm sure they heard college kid and immediately thought drugs and heavy drinking. I had bought a case of beer, but half of it was still there. One of the girls had brought a bottle of rum, but there wasn't much out of that either.

They were cordial to us and took our statements, but said it would be 48 hours before they could put out a mising persons alert. They seemed to think, she'd had an argument with her boyfriend and left on foot. If so, she had a six mile walk into town.

It was daylight before everyone left. Meredith and I hit the sack, both of us totally exhausted. We slept until almost dark, grabbed a snack and then went out to straighten up the pool area. In the summertime, it doesn't get dark here until about 8:30, so by the time we finished it was near midnight. We were sitting in the kitchen having a bite to eat, when in strolls this girl from the dining room. (remember I told you the kitchen was at the back of the house)

Meredith and I didn't say a word. We just sat there like two dummies, while she walked on past us and headed back out to the pool. She got as far as the porch and when she saw the area was dark, she asked where everybody was.

After talking with her a bit, she insisted she went straight to the bathroom and came straight back out. She looked the same as she had when I last saw her, every hair in place and makeup perfect. She couldn't seem to comprehend, that approximately 28 hours had passed.

We called her parents and they picked her up. Later I heard, they had taken her to the emergency room and had her checked over. They also did a drug test on her, which came back negative.

A couple of days later, the caretakers of the property returned from Europe and I spent the rest of the summer at home. The test came back from the scrapping taken from the scar on my back. There was no sign of any malignancy, which was what they had checked for. It seems they only run tests, on whatever the doctor tells them to look for.

It was a couple of years ago, when all of this happened. When I look back on it, I still can't come to terms with everything having a logical explanation. Even if by some fluke I had slept that long, there's still the scar. And where was that girl for 28 hours? There were 9 of us that searched that house, plus the police looked also. I'm puzzled by it...

and troubled.

Response to Switches really kewl story..

Well, it is easy to see how you could be troubled by all this loss of time.  And of course the intrusion into your body.  It doesn't make it easier to know the sample found inside is gone with the lab, but perhaps you know you have not been exposed to mutating radiation.

I wonder if you might have leaned against or picked up a thorn on your adventures about the grounds. Or perhaps even a few days before and not give it notice.

I know there are some exotic plant thorns that will cause fast and heavy scaring.  They are used in the scarification rituals, and they make what is called power bumps.  Still, why was it not identified as that when removed?  It would be a simple thing to do and there had already been a great deal of intrest generated.

Falling asleep and losing time.  Sounds like old Rip Vanwinkle.  Or maybe someone spirited away by beings of myths or other world kin like aliens maybe?  Gosh, even if it were an out of body experience there would be some impact of the events in the time zone and what are the chances of two people having that happen at the same place?.....or maybe that is a part of the puzzle?  Even if you did not know what it was to leave your body, you would think you had a vivid  dream. Or so it would seam.

Do you have anything thing that was made better during that time? I have heard that something can take you away while you're asleep and assist your body in healing.  You know like angles or some kind of invisible being.  It is not at all like the work of Hollywood aliens or you would have been left naked and screaming along side the road.

And I am thinking that  those who were spirited away in the past had recall like they were taken up on to a high mountain and all that ascending and descending so that it is not a blank.

To lose that much time  one would need be beyond the subconscious and  spaced out in the unconscious.
Deeply sedated so to speak, or hypnotized.  This might account for the suitcase and orderly manor things remained.

Since no unknown screened drugs appeared in systems, it would need be something unusual. I am presuming you had the blood work done as well as the young lady?

Let's see two people stay in the same house and lose time. And return unharmed.  The house is old and isolated as well as belonging to people who travel a great deal.  Normally I would be curious to know what kind of spiders might be found there.  Alien spiders or plants accidentally brought in from far lands ??  However; in this case the care takers would most likely encountered them, unless they just hatched out.

And then we could think about the house as a vortex for matter and psychic energy?  Like the bio location experiments that were so popular in the sixties. Or the particle decay reversal experiments. they were kind of in the same vein.  They could make things disapear and reappear or so they say. I am thinking of the sailors and the ships that had a fusion problem.

That leaves so much for the imagination to feed on doesn't it?  the old woman said as she furrowed her brow.

A friend of mine, who teaches at one of the colleges in a nearby state, refered this guy to me. When I talked to him, he was hoping that I knew of someone else that this had happened to. At the time I didn't, but later encountered a few cases that were similiar.

His account was the only one, where two people who hardly knew each other had missing time in the same place. I wanted to interview the girl, but he wouldn't tell me how to get in touch with her. He was a little embarassed by the whole thing. Maybe embarassed isn't a good word to descibe it. He didn't really like talking about it and after that one interview, I called him about something else we had talked about and he didn't return my call.

Since his mother was a nurse, she probably went over him with a fine tooth comb. I asked him a lot of questions that weren't on the tape. He indicated to me, that nothing had changed with him. He wore glasses and I asked when he started wearing them. He said since he was a kid. No headaches.

As far as he was aware, he didn't believe anything in his life had been changed because of the experience. People are reluctant to discuss things that happen to them, that can't be explained. Maybe from fear of being labeled crazy or fear that something will return.

Hello sweet Switch,

This thread reads like a creative writing exorcise. Like I stepped into a story in the making. I like the way you write. It is easy going.

Yes, sharing unusual personal experiences can get you a few labels.
None of which I like.

It depresses me but I really must discipline myself to stay away from some of my favorite subjects.  I really like to hear what others have to say.  I don't think they are too far out.  I have room for lots of concepts in my head.
No trustworthy details and facts figures thought...lol  Sad I tell you, so sad.

My personal intrest in keeping my radical views to my self is I don't want  some people to stone me and another to burn me at the stake.  Not to mention what the bad spirited politician has legislated for my punishment for Political trash mouth.  I let Bill Mahar take the flack with that one. I think we almost got into a conversation about that a while back and I had plenty to say, thank goodness my response can be found on My hardrive. I ran fast.

That is why I wanted Jeen Lilly to speak up. She has a way of passing on sensitive subject information with backup resorces and I don't think I have found any  information she has given that was not match what the authorities say.

I love Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Alice Bailey, and Deepak Chopra M.D.
I see the world like these folks do.  If you want to know what I think about the nature of realities, and why, it is good to read their works.  Because that is why I think as I do.  If I tell you what I precieve in my words, it is doubtful you will understand my foggy chaotic babble.

I watched a film of Joseph Campbell the other day and I noticed that even his facial expressions gave a good idea of his struggled to find the all the précised words to express his perceptions of the grand picture. The subject matter of man's beliefs and behaviors is a reach for me and tweeks my head too.

I felt like a total outcaste the first half of my life. I sure did not think like the people around me. I was choking to death of Freudian philosophy, ignorance, and being forced to live my life based on another individual's myth, and of being deceived by supposed superiors who demanded a behavior conducive with a narrow minded morality. Like their world views was the only way in the world. This is a big planet and it holds lots of ideas on life.

I really benefited from I an accident which forced to lay on my back for a couple of years.  I read.  Reading the above fellows's works was my personal salvation. They never negated me or my experiences but instead helped me to understand my special differences.

They said things exactly as I think them. when my companions think I am out of oxygen.  And their writings explain it to me in words that are very easy to understand.  I guess you could say I feel justified at knowing they would like me just like I am.  Strange little artist. They would give me  lots of crayons and a study grant, instead of a padded cell and some funky Auss*pills.

All that agression really doesn't matter. At the bottom line, I do it all my way. And my way is within the bounds of a careing socoity so, that's fine.

I think it is best I just write fiction. That way I can have a blast blowing off steam and thinking about weird stuff out loud. I can even share wild theories that are otherwise taboo.

I must go watch the Gospel of Judas.
kewl ....love stinky old manuscripts.

Ok, I'm back . That was interesting. But they were talking like the idea that Judas was asked to betray was new. It is not new to me. I have heard that kicked around quite a bit. It is just now there is evidence. I like history.
Those people were reading messages written in 187ish BC.  Now that is time travel.

We have a thread in Philosophy about that manuscript. Did you see it?  Don't be inhibited about expressing your views in my group. The only people who read this board are those that are interested in this subject.

Jeen Lilly has moved to Austin Texas and finally doing what she has threadtened to do. She's taken her destiny in her own hands. Unfortunately, that means that real life has claimed her and she seldom get in the group anymore. I miss her sharp tongued wit and funky outlook on the world. Even tho she would carve me up in little pieces on the board, it never bothered me. Just an opening to make a few points of my own!  LOL

Good on her. I always supposed that wit was just her funny way of lovin' ya.
How could it be other wise??

No i did not see the thread..i will look.

Thank you for inviting my non dangerous madness. If you really want to know how things go on in my head try this wacky thread. This could get embaressing in some circles.
